Iran declared on Wednesday that it can destroy nearby US military bases and strike Israel within minutes of an attack on the Islamic Republic, reflecting tensions over Iran's suspect nuclear program.

The veiled threat came during a military drill that has included the firing of ballistic missiles.

The elite Revolutionary Guards, conducting the war games in Iran's central desert, said that the missiles were aimed at mock-ups of foreign military bases.

Israel and the US have hinted at the possibility of military strikes against Iran if sanctions and diplomacy do not rein in Iran's nuclear development program. The West suspects Iran may be aiming to build nuclear weapons. Iran insists its program is for peaceful purposes. …

State TV showed video of the launching of a white missile that hit a huge target in Gulf waters.

The US Navy's 5th Fleet is based in Bahrain, an island in the Gulf about 200 kilometers (120 miles) from Iran, well within range of Iranian missiles. …

blah blah blah, anything to get the price of oil back up. I’m more worried about the zombie apocalypse than the threat of Iran.

...and I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!

Better hit the Iranians before they get the bomb because if they are this bellicose now, how are they going to behave once they have the power of the bomb?

No greater threat to the planet right now than these scumbags.
Just hope we don;t have a repeat of the North Koreans and the Clintoon administration. “All options on the table” - my a**!!

You can be sure that the moment Iran attacks US bases, with their stupid ground to ground missiles, Imam Obomber will be apologizing profusely and handing over half the nuclear arsenal to appease them.

Time to test another nuclear device.
It would be lovely seeing them glow in the dark.
I know ZERO would never do that. Another reason he must GO.

"Time to test another nuclear device."

Like we did in Japan. That one worked great.
Remember Japan started it. We finished it.

At a time when zero announces we have to many nucs and wants to cut the arsenal down to size as well as deep cuts to our military. A commander and chief against his own nation.

As Marvin Gaye would sing, “Let's get it on”. I despise iran and the day is coming to remove them and their disease from the earth. It will have to wait though... they have a staunch ally in the White Hut and mitt has a long row to hoe to replace the current kenyan witch doctor that lives there.

"Like we did in Japan. That one worked great."

Different world. Different time. Vastly different America.

What Iran perceives: most of the DC capital region has been largely in the dark for a week now, because of a single summer storm. Phone and power service in the nation's capital mirrored that of Third World Countries.

Our economy falters. Our highways and bridges are crumbling. Inner cities more dangerous than Baghdad or Kabul.

Our demonstrably week and indecisive leadership has been dithering over a nuclear Iran for years now. We appear a bitterly divided nation. We are indifferent towards furthering our independence from foreign energy sources. We are unwilling to defend our borders from hostile incursions, to the extent that we have for all intents and purposes ceeded nearly one thousand miles of it, to a depth of 80 miles into formerly U.S. territory.

Our leadership has alienated traditional allies, bowed before despots, and recklessly embraced an "Arab spring" that will ultimately prove our greatest foreign policy failure.

If you were Iran, perceiving this as the long anticipated decline of "The Great Satan," the moment you have strived for, prepared, for, armed your nation for, what would you do? What did Japan do in 1941? The answer should keep you awake at night.

Iran is the barking dog next door.

It barks night and day, it’s annoying as hell, but it knows it cannot get loose, for if it does, I will put a bullet in it.

And I hope our military ignores the SOB and retaliates on it's own. We live in unique times.

Don’t push your luck too far, Iran - we still have a score to settle.

“Gosh, these days everything reminds me of Jimmy Carter at his worst.”

The current US President makes Jimmy Carter look like Dwight Eisenhower.
