Just announced on Rush. On the heels of today's SCOTUS decision regarding Arizona's border protection law, Napalitano (Obama) has just notified Arizona that the federal government/ICE/DHS has been ordered not to cooperate with AZ regarding the reporting of illegals stopped in AZ.

Obama is ordering Federal Enforcement employees to dis-obey Federal Law: An IMPEACHABLE offense.

Fire Sobber-of-the-House Boehner, and start the Obama Articles of IMPEACHMENT on July 4, 2012.

Yep, and not a peep out of R’s in D.C.

This is what you got. They are terrified of Hispanics in a POTUS election when they might turn out to vote.

Really, would this be the same GOP involved in NY-23?
The same GOP that's done jack-shit on Fast & Furious? (Issa is not "the GOP".)
The same GOP that rolled over for Obama's Syria KMA ("Kinetic Military Action")?
The same GOP that when it controlled both the legislature and executive branch did not even put out a proposal for overturning Roe v. Wade? (It's been a part of the stated/official Republican party planks since the 80a.)
The same GOP that passed the Patriot Act, and allowed agencies to basically write their own warrants? (Take a look at the reasoning behind the 4th Amd.)
Would this be the same GOP that claims to enforce borders, as part of their national defense policies, yet leaves them wide-open?

No, I'm not sure that a GOP president and Congress will do anything to make things better. I think the very best I could hope for is that things stay the same.

The thing that cemented my view that the GOP is generally about talk and not action is the selection, anointment if you will, of Romney. Precisely because Romney is, for the most part, "the same as Obama": a socialist. The only real difference is that Romney is of the school that wants to make it seem good; therefore, I cannot say that Romney will in any significant cases pull an aspect of the Government away from socialism. As I said, the best I'd hope for under him is "things stay the same."

That's the big problem: this,"the same", is not acceptable.

So you just show that the ABO/Romney people haven't even the respect for differing opinion to even listen. Nicely done.

If the SC said AZ cannot enforce federal law, why can’t AZ refuse to enforce ALL federal laws?

That's the only response that seems likely to work at this point. The state of Arizona should point-blank refuse to enforce any federal law or provide assistance to federal government in any way, using this USSC decision to justifiably say -- "we've been told we CAN'T enforce these laws".

I totally agree with you. Actually there are a LOT of FReepers who argee with you (and me). You'd be surprised... ;-)

Amen to that! I'm with you too...I'm beginning to think that we're heavily infiltrated with DNC and DU dopes posting illogical, untrue and ridiculous anti-Romney rants.

I think you make a superb point. The fact is that District Attorneys dismiss cases many times and are selective in what cases to prosecute based on budgetary constraints and likelihood of conviction. Their most effective tool is plea bargaining which obviously the defendant has to agree to and the judge approve.

This last census, the Hispanic population was pegged at about 13%. Look at the power they yield right now. Look at how little power we yield in comparison.

We want the illegals out, and our views are ignored.

Okay, what happens when the Hispanic population is 35 to 40% in twenty years? And yes, if amnesty is implemented, that’s what we’re talking about.

We are handing over our nation, pure and simple.

There is no chance that things will get any better, under an Obama 2nd Term.

This is a no-brainer.

And only those with no brains disagree with me.

There is no chance that things get better under Romney as well. That is what I was saying.
Obama v. Romney well and truly is a Morton's Fork.

He already has. He was on FoxNews yesterday afternoon. He won’t be changing a thing. This guy was way out front of the curve here. These were his tactics before SB1070.

I have a lot of respect for the guy. If the Justice Department could find one coma out of place on a document he signed, or one incident they could prosecute him for, they would have done it years ago.

No such luck.

He’s right. He’s smart. He’s two steps ahead of them.

Kudos to him in spades!

I read it. He’s right. And it’s readily apparent that you do not understand that if a Republican Senate and House materializes, there’s essentially nothing Romney can’t do, even if it is VERY destructive to the nation.

Obama would stand the chance of being opposed. Romney won’t be, no matter what he comes up with.

You would do well to consider this rather than trash others for speaking truth.

I believe Romney will be elected. He will accomplish it without my help or the help of many other Conservatives.

Over the next four or eight years, you’ll be here defending Romney no matter what he does. Essentially, Conservatism will have almost no voice while he is in office.

That’s what happened under Bush. Here we go again.

This sure works wonders for our cause.

And despite this, no matter what Romney does, it will be said a Conservative Republican made the decision, thus destroying the ability for any Conservative to voice truth with credibility. It all but destroys our brand.

Oh, I can’t wait... /s

We’re f’d. The next four years will see our nation destroyed further, and with the support of folks who should have known what was coming.

Not only will it destroy our voice during his terms in office, it will take years to regain credibility do to the damage he will have done to the credibility of Conservatives.

Obama makes our voices louder. Romney will reduce our voices to a faint whisper.

Any criticism of him will be labeled as coming from extreme right wing fundamentalist Christians.

Doesn’t that sound great.
