Really, would this be the same GOP involved in NY-23?
The same GOP that's done jack-shit on Fast & Furious? (Issa is not "the GOP".)
The same GOP that rolled over for Obama's Syria KMA ("Kinetic Military Action")?
The same GOP that when it controlled both the legislature and executive branch did not even put out a proposal for overturning Roe v. Wade? (It's been a part of the stated/official Republican party planks since the 80a.)
The same GOP that passed the Patriot Act, and allowed agencies to basically write their own warrants? (Take a look at the reasoning behind the 4th Amd.)
Would this be the same GOP that claims to enforce borders, as part of their national defense policies, yet leaves them wide-open?
No, I'm not sure that a GOP president and Congress will do anything to make things better. I think the very best I could hope for is that things stay the same.
The thing that cemented my view that the GOP is generally about talk and not action is the selection, anointment if you will, of Romney. Precisely because Romney is, for the most part, "the same as Obama": a socialist. The only real difference is that Romney is of the school that wants to make it seem good; therefore, I cannot say that Romney will in any significant cases pull an aspect of the Government away from socialism. As I said, the best I'd hope for under him is "things stay the same."
That's the big problem: this,"the same", is not acceptable.
>>Romney was not the first choice of most of us, but Romney with a GOP Congress is the best we can hope for now.

>Yes and Yes.

You just wasted a lot of space here because I didn’t even read it.
This is a no-brainer.
And only those with no brains disagree with me.
