Conservative commentator and website editor Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure and had up to a 60 percent narrowing of a major artery, a Los Angeles County coroners office report released Wednesday said.
The office ruled that the cause of Breitbarts death was heart failure and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with focal coronary atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries.
Coroners officials deemed the death "natural."
Breitbart collapsed near his Westwood home on the west side of Los Angeles March 1. He was 43. Paramedics found Breitbart unable to breath and shocked him with a defibrillator four times. He was in full arrest and paramedics were administering CPR when he arrived in the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The report noted that despite heroic efforts, Breitbart was declared dead at 12:19 a.m. In the report, authorities said that a year before, he had a congestive heart failure and began a course of diet and exercise. The report notes that Breitbart had flu two weeks before and "has been under a lot of stress."
Maybe he was supposed to take meds, but he didn’t. Some meds can make you feel lousy. And there are those who just don’t like to take meds or are rebellious and ignore doctors’ orders.
Yes, I’ve seen the speech and it was great. Thanks for pointing that out, C210N. He had the right strategy.
Know thy enemy, etc.
Yep, perhaps for a short period at least. He is only an enemy because he and his ilk profess to want to kill 25,000,000 of us.
Look at Tucker Carlson’s body language! I’m sure the two psychopaths in the middle got a big laugh out of this night.
60% occlusions and world class political enemies are definite risk factors....
Looking at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000192.htm , it says:
“The first symptom of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy among many young patients is sudden collapse and possible death. This is caused by very abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias), or from the blockage of blood leaving the heart to the rest of the body.”
Do I understand correctly that athletes will sometimes drop dead with this because the exercise they’re doing causes an arrhythmia?
If the 60% blockage didn’t cause Breitbart to drop dead, it would just about have to be an arrhythmia, wouldn’t it? And isn’t that what a potassium chloride dart would cause?
If so everything is as would be expected if it was a heart attack dart. The only way to know whether this was caused artificially rather than naturally is by seeing whether there was a small red spot where a dart went into his body.
And according to the autopsy, the coroner’s office did not take photos of the body when they took custody of the body, as is their standard protocol.
Here’s what I posted elsewhere:
Thanks. There are a few things in there that are VERY interesting. Im not a medical person but as I read this autopsy, these things seem to be indicated:
1. The investigator contacted Andrews wife by phone about 10:00am the next morning. She claimed that Andrew had been taken to the ER a year before and had congestive heart failure. But the coroner notes that they had the medical records, and by that time Ed Winter, deputy chief coroner, had already reported to the media that Breitbart had not seen a doctor for over a year. So the claims that he had seen a doctor and had congestive heart failure came from his wife mid-morning the following day and was contradicted by the actual medical records.
2. There was no witness to the autopsy.
3. This claims that there were no photos taken of the body when retrieved from the ER. This violates the protocols for the LA County Coroners Office, according to an audit of that agency done 3 years ago. If photos were taken of the body according to protocol, they have since been destroyed.
The person who transported the body from the ER - who is the person who should photograph the body - was not named in the autopsy, so Ed Winter would say that Michael Cormier was not associated with the case in any way (since his name was not listed anywhere in the autopsy). So we have no idea who transported the body, whether they photographed the body according to protocols and the photos were subsequently destroyed, or why they didnt photograph the body if they didnt photograph it.
The important thing to note is that the only proof of whether a heart attack was artificially induced by a heart attack dart is those photos, and though they are standard protocol in THIS CASE the autopsy claims they were never taken.
4. The maximum level of blockage found in the arteries was 60%. Im not a medical person, like I said, but this suggests to me that a heart attack was not caused by blockage or anything with the arteries or heart themselves, but rather because of the electrical impulses being off - which is the means used in a potassium chloride heart attack assassination dart.
This autopsy thus raises more questions than it answers. There is nothing in here that I can see that rules out a heart attack dart, and the photos that should have documented whether there was a tiny red mark where a dart entered the body were not taken, in violation of standard protocols. The level of blockage in the arteries suggests this heart attack was NOT caused by the condition of the arteries or heart but by the electrical impulses which control the timing of the heartbeats, which is the means whereby a heart attack dart causes a heart attack.
As always, if somebody else has input that clarifies or rebuts anything Ive said, I hope to hear it.
Politics is the mother of some very strange bedfellows.
I missed that theory, n a v. What would be the *delivery system*? A dart? Ingestion? A gas?
My Mom, before she passed two weeks ago at 89, had both carotid arteries bypassed for major blockages, several years ago. She’d had 6 minor TIAs as a result of the blockages.
You can’t believe anyone or anything at times like this.
Breitbart was upsetting the Obama narative and the timing of his demise seems more than just a little bit convenient.
Strange things happen to people who get in the way of powerful political forces in this country.
Look at the Vince Foster “suicide” and the Air Force plane crash that killed Ron Brown.
And don’t forget the magic bullet that purportedly killed JFK.
It is the only know bullet in history to change direction in midflight, on its own.
It went in and out of JFK, mortally wounding him. Then it hit Texas governor Connally in the back, breaking a rib and exiting his chest. Then it hit him in his wrist, then in the thigh. After which it somehow exited his body to be found laying on an empty stretcher in the hospital hallway, only slightly deformed with no traces of blood or tissue on it.
(The main fabricator of this “magic-bullet-theory” is none other than Arlen Specter)
Doubtless we'll never really know how or even if.
Good observation, m m. I couldn’t have been around those putrid scum.
50 mg would be about the size of a grain of rice.
Here’s a story about some people who were poisoned with it:
It sounds like it’s relatively fast-acting. Which means he’d have been dosed 5-15mins before keeling-over on his front sidewalk. Only “slightly soluble in alcohols” probably means that there’d be a ‘scum’ on the win glass’ surface/sides, and traceable.
Wow; too many possibilities. It’s making my head spin.
Wait a minute. I need to correct myself here.
On page 7 it says that photographs WERE taken before the autopsy.
On page 1 (at http://www.lsnewsgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/2012-01471-Breitbart-Autopsy-Report.pdf ) there appears to be a wrinkle so it’s hard to read. If the “transported by” refers to transportation from the hospital to the morgue, then Lucia Montoya transported the body at 9:05AM - 25 minutes before an investigator was assigned to the case - together with fingerprints and the hospital report and hospital chart. Three photos were taken. No other evidence was listed so an evidence log was not created. The investigator appears to have based his conclusions solely on the ER report and his discussion with Breitbart’s wife.
So the protocol was followed (although 3 photos would not cover every square inch of skin either) On p. 12 of the PDF the coroner’s report shows that the coroner reviewed the body tag, x-ray, “fluoro”, and medical records, but not at-scene photos (ER was written in next to that line but was not checked).
I think what this comes down to is that the coroner never examined for a little red mark from a dart gun. Three photos were taken, but the coroner never mentions what was on them. His own external observations were apparently only for injuries or evidence of medical care.
Would it show up in a tox screen?
Now isn’t that a sweet doggie bag! All I can say is that the folks who have taken over Breitbart.com drew in their horns very quickly. I wonder how Soetoro’s body count measures up to Bubba C’s.
Hard to say without knowing the degree of the cardiomyopathy and his other problems but generally he would be on treatment. And he wouldn’t be the first person in the known universe not to be compliant with that treatment!
You are comparing apples to oranges. The 60% blockage is in a coronary artery. If this causes part of the heart to become under perfused it can lead to arrhythmias although not likely with only 60% blocked. That would be considered mild to moderate
The blockage that kills with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is blockage of the outflow tract of the left ventricle. The muscle literally becomes so thick that when the ventricle contracts it totally blocks any outflow. Think trying to empty a balloon with a knot in the neck. Tjisisthe primary way the cardiomyopathy kills- cardiac output drops to zero suddenly
Arrhythmias are generally a more favorable arrest. If seen in time and treated with defibrillation most arrhythmias are reversible. As I said in the last post not so with the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. A very experienced team in a hospital that knows. The cause of the arrest still doesn’t have very good odds with that one. And on a sidewalk somewhere you don’t know the cause of arrest. You always assume arrhythmia because it is the most common and the most treatable
Sorry for the typos. Still not great at typing on the iPad!
