Conservative commentator and website editor Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure and had up to a 60 percent narrowing of a major artery, a Los Angeles County coroners office report released Wednesday said.
The office ruled that the cause of Breitbarts death was heart failure and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with focal coronary atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries.
Coroners officials deemed the death "natural."
Breitbart collapsed near his Westwood home on the west side of Los Angeles March 1. He was 43. Paramedics found Breitbart unable to breath and shocked him with a defibrillator four times. He was in full arrest and paramedics were administering CPR when he arrived in the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The report noted that despite heroic efforts, Breitbart was declared dead at 12:19 a.m. In the report, authorities said that a year before, he had a congestive heart failure and began a course of diet and exercise. The report notes that Breitbart had flu two weeks before and "has been under a lot of stress."
And IIRC, there were reports of his face turning “cherry-red”... whatever that means. Could it have come from choking for air/ respiratory collapse? Poison? Just asking. Anyone know?
Actually, 60% isn’t that uncommon, having to do with fluid dynamics.
It’s the old “garden hose rule”, which is to take a garden hose with a kink in it, and watch the flow of water as you tighten the kink. It will continue with very little obvious decrease until it is almost completely cut off. Then suddenly it stops.
The same rule applies with plaque build up in the arteries.
It is also a bugger to diagnose without using medical imagining, which they do a lot of.

The most recent trendy diagnosis for people over 60 is to check for such buildup in their neck, in the carotid artery and jugular vein. These are the bodies high pressure fire hoses, so the assumption was that they were less prone to narrowing. This was a wrong assumption, and this common condition can be deadly. So elderly people are getting systematically checked for this.
In related news, I’m sure Netenyahu is salivating at the chance to have dinner at Ahmadinnerjack’s residence. Just let bygones be bygones, and enjoy a REALLY Great meal.
I really don’t understand how Andrew could have even agreed to pose with Ayers for a picture. I couldn’t imagine agreeing to it.
Exactly. And where is the ONLY direct witness to Breitbart’s death, Chris Lasseter? Was he involved in Breitbart’s death or did he hide out of fear for his life? Breitbart was said to appear flush red with an odd band of white color around his forehead and scalp. Heart failure would cause a person to appear grayish or bluish, not flush red; That could indicate overpressure in the circulatory system.
Why wasn't Lisinopril (Zestril) or Coreg found in his system. These are well known heart failure drugs that prolong life.
You got that right - a thought that is never lost on me.
Because he wasn’t that sick - diet and exercise is what the doctor told him would help the most....same thing they tell me every year....
“According to the autopsy report, Breitbart had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2011 after being rushed by ambulance to the same hospital because he had shortness of breath.
He was released from the hospital after a few days in 2011, and he began exercising and dieting, the report said.”
I’m assuming by your screen name you are an MD, does it seem likely to you that Breitbart would not be on some type of medication after the 2011 incident? Is that common?
IF he really was hospitalized for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy last year would he have been receiving medications or ongoing treatment?
No medication was found in his system...
Quit using medical knowledge and Occam’s razor. It’s clearly the Bilderbergers and George Soros.
The reports were of bright red face and white top of the head all around.
This is consistent with sodium azide poisoning. (Sodium azide is the propellant in automotive airbags)
We can only hope it is quick.
That always is my prayer ;o)
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you need to threaten to report me to the Admin if I dont add you to the list...

I can’t imagine having dinner with the scum, either.
Here's the menu for the dinner which took place on Feb. 05, 2012 (Super Bowl Sunday):

Also ironic is Breitbart's death occurring the same night as his phone call with Sheriff Arpaio about Obama's eligibility investigation. He died on the eve of Sheriff Arpaio's first 'Obama eligibility' news conference.. And whatever happened to the tapes Breitbart said to have had, which was going to expose Obama's past? I seriously doubt the one Hannity showed of the professor was the extent of it, although we're supposed to believe that I guess.
The week before Breitbart died, he subbed for Dennis Miller. It was strange - he was happily discussing his dinner with the Ayers freak - as if it was some great achievement. And he kept going on and on about how great the food was. I kept thinking: when are you going to talk about the questions you asked him? But it never happened. It was all about the excitement and fun of dining with Ayers. I loved Breitbart and it was a horrible shock to learn of his death but I never forgot that odd opening monologue.
They were unable to get any signs of life out of him either at the scene or at the hospital, according to the ER report. He was dead when they found him, never got any signs of life out of him, but they didn’t pronounce him dead until all means had been exhausted in the ER.
