It has become clear for some time that there is no limit to which a leftist will go in there attempt to control mankind from the cradle to the grave. Even the fear of voter backlash in an election year does not seem to slow them down any longer. Why else would Obama come out of the closet in full support of same sex marriage, at the same time that California Democrats are attempting to criminalize a parent's influence upon their child's sexual orientation. Passing through the California Senate Judiciary committee by a vote of 3-1, SB 1172 is on its way to the full Senate for consideration. If passed into law, it won't be long before therapists, psychologists, counselors and parents could be convicted of crimes against the state if they ever attempt to change a child's sexual orientation. Sponsored by State Senator Ted W. Lieu (D) Senate Bill 1172 (pdf file) discourages "sexual orientation change efforts" of adults and essentially makes it illegal to change the sexual orientation of minors.
The legislation would require all adults to sign a consent form before they undergo any therapy that would attempt to change their sexual orientation from gay to straight, or even straight to gay. As for the children, SB 1172 would abolish all parental control that influences whether they will grow up to be gay or heterosexual. Furthermore, parents who violate this law could lose custody of their children to the state.
You can bet that if this gets signed into law, there will be lawsuits all the way to the Supreme Court. Especially when you consider that this bill would give the state the right to step into doctors' examination rooms, or psychiatrists' offices and gag

For all virtues, such as American ideas of being created equal and of freedom, there are vices that more or less closely counterfeit them. Without logical reasoning and a godly moral foundation, the potential for mischief is almost limitless.
The problem of course is not THAT the lads are kissing one another (it’s a very heterosexual thing for men to do in Italy, for example) but WHY.

What do you mean “The choice has never been this clear” Obama favors homosexual marriage, and Romney, long time advocate for the Homosexual Agenda, implemented gay marriage in Mass and just came out in favor of homosexual adoption. Where exactly do their positions differ, on this and most other issues. A clear choice is one thing we don’t have.

Any discussions I have ever had with libTurds on whether homosexuality/lesbian behavior & lifestyle, is a natural, inborn behavior or a CHOICE, I go straight to this passage in Romans 1, and just hammer them with this passage. They keep trying to deflect with some other deviant arguments or psychological babble, and I just keep answering any statements or accusations with this passage from Romans 1. In every case, after about 5 minutes of refusing to be dislodged from Romans 1, they abruptly end the conversation and stalk off angrily, having lost any semblance of their deviant arguments or logic.
And you can believe that when people begin to spirit their children away to save them from having their lives ruined at the hands of these degenerates, the next legislative move in Sacramento will be to make flight itself illegal, unless all children of the parents in question have been interviewed by concerned CPS and gay rights advocates, who will painstakingly probe them, and probe them, and probe them (but only out of their oh so sincere concern for the child’s psychological welfare), looking for any hint of latent tendencies. When that doesn’t work, down comes the iron curtain. God, I hope I get out in time.

This would be the kind of thing that would IMO bring about lots of violence from various parents to anyone connected to this.
I’m not advocating violence, but I see where this one could be a straw that would break the parent’s back.
It is both because America is not united anymore. The country is deeply divided, and the abyss between camps keeps growing.
This means that some Americans are the last, best hope of mankind. They believe in the US Constitution, they believe in personal freedom and they believe that power comes from the people. In this they are light years ahead of citizenry of most other countries who gladly accept that their governments are their masters.
This also means that some other Americans are the worst of the worst. They are leading the world toward hedonism, toward destruction of the family, and ultimately toward the destruction of the society. They wholeheartedly support dictatorial powers of the government, they don't want to work (of course - they are too busy with pleasuring each other, no time left to work!) but they want the government to be their racketeer, to shake last loose coins out of pockets of working people.
The society is already stretched thin along these lines. It will tear apart as soon as any little (or not so little) negative event occurs, like a financial problem or a political problem or an act of terorism. Even such a local event as Travon Martin's demise could - and still can - bring widespread riots about. Rioters are chomping at the bit as we speak, and their "community organizers," including the highest official of the country, are pouring gasoline into that fire.
