A dozen conservative activists interacted with dinner attendees including Woody Harrelson and Chris Matthews.
As the nations elite journalists arrived at the Washington Hilton to hobnob with President Obama at the White House Correspondents Dinner, many were met by a small group of protesters shouting "don't believe the liberal press" and holding signs adorned with photos of deceased conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.
A few notable attendees politely mixed it up a bit with the protesters, who also shouted accusations of hypocrisy at the well-dressed journalists and Hollywood celebrities.
Protester Kevin Martin asked MSNBC host Chris Matthews why he wasn't driven to the event in a hybrid vehicle and whether he intended to donate uneaten food from the soiree to the "one percent," a reference to the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Matthews listened politely and even said the protesters "make a good point."

Some who walked by the group gave the middle finger, others said things like, "Oh brother, Breitbart people." A smaller number of people, including Republican Representatives Allen West and Tim Scott, offered thumbs up and words of encouragement.
The group of demonstrators are members of Free Republic, a conservative organization. This is their 13th year protesting in front of the annual dinner, but this year the group dedicated their demonstration to Breitbart, who died in March.

Testimony........
I once had the opportunity to join the DC chapter standing in the street greeting those coming to the event. It was one of the best times ever.
Later, we convened inside the Hilton at several tables and had a great time listening to the meeting just down the hall. To be in the company of FReepers at such and event is very very hard to beat.
Grub up some $$$ and go have a great FReeping experience.
Thanks for the warm up to the actual AAR. Looking forward to it.
Liberals reaction to Breitbart’s death are typical hateful.

The DC Elite are one big happy family indeed.....
Eat the DC Elite!!!! We’re well on our way back to feudalism with all the debt they are creating.
Thanks for the ping, and great to be with everyone last night. Here’s more photos and video, along with the Chris Matthews video and “Who Let The Dogs Out?”:

Yes, I remember you guys on that one. CLASSIC. Really made the news, too. Andrew must have been proud of it. I know I was.
Simple mistake in wording, I meant every bit of Obama being worse than Clinton (not the other way around), but my writing had it come out the opposite of what I intended. And I don't believe I attacking any other Freepers, I think perhaps unfortunately you read too much into my post.
Of course, I don't stand by my earlier mis-type and I duly correct it here for all. Obama is much worse than Clinton. Both terrible, but one definitely is the "yokzuna" while the other is an "ozeki" when it comes to overal reprehensibility.
Why is Woody Harrelson still on the “A” list?
No - Bill Clinton was actually better than Barack Obama which is hard to believe. Even Hillary Clinton or Jimmy Carter would have been an improvement. No - Obama is the worse I've seen in my lifetime.
Great Job!!!
gotcha! :)
LoL! Well done.

Very few people get the sumo reference, but I’d classify Clinton as just “makuuchi” level. I just wish someone would get a kinboshi against Yokozuna Obama. And then quickly force him to retire.
Love your Obama-Dog poster! Great to see this kind of activism. That’s what FR was all about in the early days....
YOU GUYS ROCK! THANKS! |
If you want off my ping list get over it!
Sweet!
You’re right - WAY TO GO, FREEPERS!!!
Way to go you guys!
