Obama certainly hopes you’re right. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some “new” members of this board in the form of Daily Kos plants who encourage everyone here to “keep the faith” and stay home on election day.
I favored Santorum over Romney, but the choice between Obama and Romney isn’t even close. Do you choose the guy who will TELL you flat out that he’s going to destroy your country and has proven that he’s trying to do so, or do you take a chance on the guy who at least TELLS he’s going to support lower taxes, smaller govt, etc. Sure, maybe he’s lying, but we KNOW Obama is telling the truth about what he’s going to do.

There is a strong probability that there will NOT. That’s why this is going to be the MOST critical election in the history of this nation.

Well, you can place the blame squarely on the GOP RINO-e, Karl Rove, Fox News and Mitt Romney himself for using their money, media and connections to utterly destroy the TEA Party and all of our conservative candidates. Eff ‘em. They deserve to go down as a failed party.
40% of this nation polls conservative. If they lined up behind McCain then he only got like 8% of the remaining vote. I’d like to think we lined up behind him,especially with Palin on the ticket but it just doesn’t seem like that’s what happened.
Romney will not have the Congressional support to do the things you fear, even if he were so inclined.
Obama’s objective is to destroy the country.
So you can complain about the poor menu or starve, it’s your choice.
I’m voting for a Mass. governor—Calvin Coolidge. If the Republican VP is good, I might write him in as well. It will give the lawyers something to fight over if it is close.
I think we need a fearless conservative to start a true national conservative political party. They would take the Tea Party support with them, no doubt, so they already have a ready base of support.
Moreover, how many conservatives in the House and Senate would change affiliation to a formal national conservative political party. I think MANY would change over.
It is obvious we can’t win from within the system. We need to end-run the system.
We need a conservative party, now!

Romney is not my boy. He the last many standing. My “boy” was Rick Perry and I watched him trashed relentlessly here.

I will not vote for the slightly less socialist Mitt “0bama-Lite” Romney.
Our Enemies on the Right, the GOP-E think they will be rid of us with Romney, they are mistaken, they will pine for these days once we send them into a pitiful minority like the Whigs before them in the 1860's.
Conservatism will NOT be halted, they can either stand by our side our be crushed under our hell but they WILL NOT, stand in our way!
I just checked the primary time and CT’s is not until April 24, 2012. Will vote in protest against the GOP-e, after that I AM DONE with the GOP in my eyes.
