PALM BEACH, Fla. – After national controversy over his calling a Georgetown University law student a “slut” and “prostitute,” radio giant Rush Limbaugh says he has brand-new sponsors lined up to advertise on his program, and some who had canceled are now asking to return.
“We have three brand-new sponsors that will be starting in the next two weeks,” Limbaugh said this afternoon, adding he was not going to identify them today.
Two of the sponsors who have canceled have asked to return. We are being very careful about that. I’m not gonna give you any names here. One of them is practically begging to come back.”
There have been reports among some news agencies that at least 40 advertisers have abandoned Limbaugh’s top-rated program since the furor involving Sandra Fluke’s push for insurance-covered birth control erupted last week, but Limbaugh said those news outlets are not being honest.
“Because they lie, and because they don’t understand how it works,” he said. “Everything is fine on the business side. Everything is cool. There is not a thing to worry about. Whatever you’re seeing on television about this program and sponsors and advertisers is just incorrect.”

Testimony? In front of a kangaroo style court, hastily called for by that staunch Catholic, Nancy Pelosi. Fluke wasn't allowed to testify in front of the real Congressional hearing because she couldn't be vetted. She was a surprise "witness". Those testifying in front of Congress are vetted 72 hours prior to the testimony and Pelosi didn't want to allow that. So, they conjured up a fake hearing and it was carried as real!
Fluke, Fluke! And, Fluke Pelosi!
This is not only a war on Rush, but, a war on Catholics!...and, religion, in general...IMHO!

I dunno about "majority" but I could agree with "many". I was the male equivalent of "slut" a hundred years or so ago, when I was still single but we have no word that's equivalent for a male with loose moral standards.
Yesterday we had the pleasure of telling Pro Flowers to get lost and keep their “52%” discount. They wrote back with some blah blah blah about respect for our opinion. Nice!
I loved that scene. The cancellation of Firefly was a great loss to the science fiction viewing community. I know that Serenity was a wrap-up movie, but it just left me wanting more.

Me too. It seems like the Catholic Church is very tolerant of increased government authority and socialist / progressive causes. I've never been able to figure it out. This is true for most Protestant Churches as well.
After getting out of the service in the late 60s, I worked at a lumber yard in southern Missouri for a while, among the men I worked with, "sumbitch" was just a normal part of speech and was not even considered derogatory, all us sumbitches said it. If one wanted to be derogatory or say it in real anger, one said son-of-a-bitch, sounding it all out.
Don’t take them back, Rush. Allow them to wither. Perhaps it will teach these morons a thing or two about Free Speech in this country.

He said that he had a neck injury and didn't want to have surgery b/c it could have done damage to his voice, i.e. his livelihood.
In the scope of my employment I come in contact with a lot of people who have neck injuries and most of them are scared to get surgery, period. They're not worried about their voices, just worried. (With good reason, I may add. Sounds pretty damn scary to me, having my spine operated on.)
Many of them don't get the operation and end up abusing their pain meds, too. They're not druggies, they're in constant pain.
(One minor suggestion purely out of desire to elbow my way into the act: can you work in the words "Trojan Whorse" somewhere?)

Will someone with a few billion dollars to invest start one or all of the following:
1)A conservative news wire.
2)A conservative satelite tv Network. Not one channel but an entire network! With about 3 Conservative News Channels.
Pro-American/Pro-Capitalism/Pro-Family/Pro-Individual/Pro-USC
3)A Conservative version of Hollywood.
All threee would complement each other.
