A new InsiderAdvantage poll conducted Sunday night of likely Republican voters in the state of Florida shows a significant surge for Newt Gingrich.
The poll has Mitt Romney leading with 36 percent of voters, followed by Gingrich at 31 percent.
The Sunday results of 646 likely GOP voters are as follows: Romney 36 percent Gingrich 31 percent Santorum 12 percent Paul 12 percent Other/Undecided 9 percent "The race will be tighter than expected," Matt Towery, chief pollster of InsiderAdvantage told Newsmax.
Towery noted that his poll showed a surge for Romney on Wednesday, with him leading Gingrich by 8 points. The InsiderAdvantage poll was among the first to show Romney's resurgence after his dismal showing in the S. Carolina primary.
The InsiderAdvantage poll was also the first to show Gingrich's rise in S. Carolina and accurately forecast his win there.
"The trend is favoring Gingrich," Towery said, noting that while Romney's lead was still outside the margin of error of 3.8 percent, "It's not by much.".........

The last 48 hours are usually the biggest movement and the undecideds go against the establishment candidate. This is far from over. It will come down to how well Newt sells himself over the nest 24 hours.
Pray for America
Gingrich outperformed the polls in SC by about 7 points.
I am not sure what surge IA is seeing. Their poll posted on 1/26 (with data through 1/25), showed it Romney +8, about the same as what the OP showed. Big difference between the IA poll and Survey USA which both did surveys today.

I too have concerns with the IA targeting, because so very few (over 600) were polled, in a state the size and population of Florida with its diverse demographics and regions.
The call has gone out and one lantern has been spotted in the North Church!
The Regulars are coming, wake up your men and bring them to Lexington at once! Wake up the Regulars are coming!
Wake up and be a FREE MAN or Liberty dies tonight!

(women are still favoring Romney)
GEE, We heard that for SC and Guess what? It wasn’t true at all.
One if by land, Newt if by sea
As noted elsewhere today, Romney often underperforms the polls.
What a surprise! The GOP-E narrative turns out to be complete smoke and mirrors.
GO Newton Leroy!
Newts a dog.
But hes our dog!

You know it’s gotten bigger than Newt, hasn’t it? It’s about open revolt now against the power of the Establishment sabotaging all candidates, kneecapping all threats to the one *they* picked for us. Same old playbook and the nation is in the dumper. Phooey.
Your post made it sound like you had some kind of info that led you to believe Santorum was on the verge of getting out of the race. Someone else posted something similar on this thread...I'm looking for information, not wishful thinking.
Santorum hasn't indicated that he's going anywhere.
“Could you imagine how this board would light up with excitement if Newt wins Fla...man oh man.”
Could you imagine how much the nation would light up in excitement? And Obama light up to sooth the fear?
watch for the “unexpected” Newt “surge” in the final days....the polls can cheat early on..but have to be close on election day.....
My call...Newt by 4
That was a great interview. Did you see afterwards where she said she was getting all kinds of hate mail from Romney people saying she was a shrill for Newt and it wasn't fair that she didn't have a bus tour with Romney. She said (paraphrase) Romney's people have short memories because she did a bus tour with him in South Carolina.
Since this is mostly just negatives about newt and not why one should vote for Romney there is a good chance many will just sit at home without someone to vote FOR.

You may have a point there. GOD be with us.
You won’t see this on Drudge. You also won’t see the Gallup national poll on there either. You would think the people would just be fed up with the establishment by now and just vote for Newt as a matter of protesting how they are being manipulated.
If people want to change in Washington, they need to start saying NO to the big money negative ads by Romney which really say, “I can’t win you over by telling you about myself, so I’ll just rip on my opponent and hopefully scare you over to my side.”
If people want change, they’ll listen to what the candidates actually have to say, ignore all the polls, ignore what the media tells you who you’re supposed to vote for and just vote for who they think is best to make the change.
If conservatives want change, they will rally behind one candidate, consolidate the conservative vote and take down Romney. There are more of us than them, but we need to come together or we’re going to roll out another weak moderate against Obama.
It’s time to join forces and let’s get behind Newt. He’s the smartest guy out there with the boldest ideas. He’s the guy you want on that stage across from Obama. He’s led a revolution before and he’ll lead one again.
Yep. I call Mittens “the Stepford candidate.”
Go NEWT.
Cheers!
The latest on Bella, Santorum’s daughter, is not good. She has pneumonia and is on a respirator. Pneumonia would be bad enough, but it’s really serious to be on a respirator.
I don’t know if he will leave the child since she is this bad. He can’t win and with this sick child, he needs to endorse Newt and deal with his family.
The Insider poll called the surge just before the primary vote.
They were the only one that did.
FL is an unknown, but it is surely not as far apart as the press propaganda states.
Go Newt!
