NEW YORK (AP) - An ABC News executive tells The Associated Press that the network has interviewed Newt Gingrich's second wife and is likely to air the segment Thursday on "Nightline."

If this was a Democrat, this would never see the light of day. Larry Sinclair? Hello.
And what changed between the 95 interview and the 2010 interview? Only ONE thing I can see.
Yep. You might think Perry dropping out is THE breaking story.
Nope.
Bash Newt with bitter ex wife news apparently trumps everything.
Just like Barrack and Michelle Obama, Rev Wright, Rev Sharpton, Rev Jackson. Wall Street Occupiers, Bill Maher.... 90% of the Negros in this country, Government Workers.....got it!!
AND for that reason I find her less than credible. Because from where I sit Newt led the country to a Republican controlled Congress after 40 years of wandering in a liberal wilderness.
I read NO shame on her part of participating in the adultery upon wife number 1. AND the manner in which she speaks of him attempts to make herself a victim of which I see NO grounds. And she is offended when it is she that got offended. I hope Newt does not respond.
Now having said the above, I have my own issues with Newt. Him preening on that couch with Nanny the RED PEWlouise and for him spouting that the era of Reagan was over as if liberalism had won still bounces off like electric charges in my head.
But Marianne would have better served herself had she kept her peace.
Maybe some Bain - Drudge connection?
Newt professes to be a Christian, and he expresses regret for his past adulteries. To say a person can’t change is to deny the power of God, plus it goes against what I have witnessed myself. I have personally seen people change, even very old sinners. It does happen. As far as I’m concerned, Newt’s past adulteries are between him and God. As you pointed out, he hasn’t denied his sins unlike some other politicians we know.
Yes, adultery is all about feelings, isn’t it?
Newt’s daughters doing an informal event in Bluffton, SC now on cspan. Both spoke and are now talking to people and answering questions.
Because of the timing of this story, (she’s always been rightfully angry at NG), and because of the INTENT of this news, (to diminish NG’s political chances in SC and Florida), I have decided for certain to vote for Gingrich - and not Santorum - this Saturday morning, God willing.
BTW, doesn’t Romney’s machine know how the poorly the robocalls from himself and others in his name such as New Jersey’s Chris Christie...doesn’t HE understand he’s only increasing SC Conservatives’ resolve against him? I hope not.
Pray for a reasonably accurate primary vote count this Saturday in SC. Thanks.
“with a bunny boiler.”
Good one. Newt probably could do a number on her reputation as well.
Newt is a scumbag, he's the epitome of Washington establishment corruption and RINOism -
and FReepers get upset when the media runs a story on what everyone already knows?
I guess they just want to turn a blind eye to the sad pathetic truth of Newt Gingrich, because if they really looked they would not like what they saw, and they'd rather live in
Bizarro world.
It doesnt matter what I do, he answered. People need to hear what I have to say. Theres no one else who can say what I can say. It doesnt matter what I live.

I’m wondering the same thing.
I wasn't there, but Marianne Gingrich sounds like she is striking back in vengeance--no high motives here IMO...
Additionally, I think Herman would have still beat it, if he stayed in the race. He chose not to fight if further (for his family) and Newt WILL fight this to the end.
The whole GOP field sucks...it just boils down to the one that sucks the least.....and that would seem to be Newt. Although I probably would vote for Santorum over Newt as of now.

Some people are bitter because they can't get what they want, with "being wronged" having nothing to do with it (except in their minds). The simple fact is that bitter wife #2 fooled around with Newt when he was married to wife #1, and she's bitter because Newt fooled around with wife #3 while married to her. Sounds a lot like "what goes around, comes around" to me.
That all said, we are not having primaries to determine who is the most moral person in the country, merely who is the best person to be the Presidential nominee for one of the parties. My personal view is that Newt, with all of his faults (many self-admitted, showing that he at least has some humility, unlike the certain nominee of the other party), is the best person to oppose Obama. He while figuratively tear Obama apart in debates, and if the pResident fails to agree to debates then Newt will tear him apart for being a wimpy little chicken. Newt has a vision about where we've been and where we should be going that he can actually explain - unlike many past Republican nominees, unlike a couple of his opponents and very much unlike the pResident. Romney will be savaged, and will respond in the same way that McCain did, and that he himself did on Tuesday night - like a deer in the headlights. Romney might well be a supremely effective administrator, but he's no leader. Gingrich is a leader, and this country is starved for leadership from someone who shares traditional American values. I like Santorum a lot, but wish he'd follow Perry's (almost certain at this point) lead and remove himself gracefully from the race and endorse Newt - both in the interest of the Party and of the entire country, seeing as how we MUST, MUST, MUST defeat Obama.
Everyone has had bad things happen to them in life. Everyone has been wronged by somebody else, some worse than others or maybe more publicly than others, but to the individual it's still a wrong. People are bitter because they choose to allow the bad things that happened to consume them and destroy their opportunity for healing. If she's bitter, it's her fault, not Newt's. People don't have to be defined by the bad things that happen to them. If they are, it's because they choose to be.
