A plurality (47%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is at least somewhat likely that Palin will enter the presidential race, but that includes only 13% who feel its Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 35% think a Palin bid is unlikely, but just five percent (5%) say its Not At All Likely. Eighteen percent (18%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Only 18% of voters think it would be good for Republicans if Palin entered the race. Sixty percent (60%) say it would be bad for the party, while 11% predict it would have no impact. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure.
Even most Republicans (52%) believe it would be bad for the GOP if Palin threw her hat in the ring, a view shared by 74% of Democrats and 54% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

I do think it is despicable that certain FReepers have stated they hope Obama wins if Sarah Palin doesn't run.
Posters who say that aren't FReepers, they are DU trolls.
Sarah Palin would certainly never say that, not in a million years.
Not in ten million years.

Yes he has. That makes his polling techniques suspect to me.

I agree about the tactics.
Please read this post of mine on another thread.
Perry is using the Texas connection to implement the Diamond Strategy to create an air of inevitability: and having minor press releases "as though from all sides" on a daily or near-daily basis to create the illusion of momentum.
Cheers!

I love to say this, as much as I love Sarah, but I think these polls are out-and-out lies, as they contradict my personal experience. Let me give you an anecdotal story. I live in Minneapolis, home of Keith Ellison and Al Franken, and Gov. Mark Dayton. When Sarah Palin came here during the 2008 Presidential Campaign, she drew 13,000 people to Blaine (inconvenient northern suburb) on a weekday.
When she came to the Mall of America, the lines were so long that I arrived around 7:30 in the morning and the lines were halfway around the inside of the Mall of America to see her already.
The liberals hate her with a passion, because that's what MPR (Minnesota Public Radio) tells them to do. And they call her stupid. (Just as they do with Bachmann, who they said was an idiot for calling Obama a socialist.)
People who are not libs will not stand up to back Sarah when they think other people are watching. But when I've stood up for her, other people have come to me in private and agreed.
It's more peer pressure than true lack of support.
Cheers!

I write the "Impeach Obama" in the "fill in the blank" list in priorities, but I always write SARAH PALIN 2012 in red magic marker across the entire survey before I send it back.
Cheers!

Seriesly, the vast majority of our members are truly good people and are willing to engage in lively and honest debate, but theres always a few that troll threads looking to incite and today has been one of those trolling days. Whenever theres a plethora of Palin threads, the trolls & PDSers flock to them like flies to a family picnic. That's...that's HUGH. (and series!)
My own take is that most of the anti-Palin trolls are paid Romneybots or Perrysites.
My sign-up date is 2004, but I know regulars from sporadic, and a LOT of the anti-Palin posters have two things in common:
1) I don't recall ever seeing their names before
2) A disproportionate share are from Texas. Almost as though the fate of the nation is less important than an win for the "good ole boys". (Or Perry operatives attempting the Diamond Strategy.)
Cheers!

Your words are very kind -- and make my evening! :^)
Bbbbut .. but *sniff* .. I'm still nursing the wounds from that other post where you said I was "trying for the role of geriatric 'Perry Girl'" ... *sob* *sniff-snuffle*
(just kidding ... "geriatric Perry Girl" ....{^) See, I told you it would leave a mark!! So I think Perry is handsome! Sue me! ;^)
But seriously, thanks again for your kind words. It's nice to know I'm in good company with regard to the thinking on this stuff.
