WEST ALLIS - Witnesses tell Newsradio 620 WTMJ and TODAY'S TMJ4 of a mob of young people attacking innocent fair-goers at the end of the opening night of State Fair, with some callers claiming a racially-charged scene.
Milwaukee Police confirmed there were assaults outside the fair.
Witnesses' accounts claim everything from dozens to hundreds of young black people beating white people as they left State Fair Thursday night.
"It looked like they were just going after white guys, white people," said Norb Roffers of Wind Lake in an interview with Newsradio 620 WTMJ. He left the State Fair Entrance near the corner of South 84th Street and West Schlinger Avenue in West Allis.
"They were attacking everybody for no reason whatsoever."
"It was 100% racial," claimed Eric, an Iraq war veteran from St. Francis who says young people beat on his car.
Lemme guess - while they were doing this they were chanting “yes we can” and “we want pie”?

My FRiend, I have been saying that since the early 1970’s. We were heading that way and the tensions were being ratcheted up and up. Then they suddenly sort of faded away.
I believe that Ronald Reagan and his policies were the reason for that. But I have been feeling the same tensions since the 1990’s and now? ... Well I don’t think that they are going to be defused this time.
(I just wrote a lot of stuff and deleted it. All I am going to say is that it’s going to get real bad. Just do the best you can to prepare for it.)

One thing that I remember though and I think about it at times like these was a piece on TV about a film crew that went through New Orleans about a year and half later and spotted a couch in the limbs of a tree in the front yard of a dilapidated house.
On the porch of the house was another couch with four burly black men drinking beer. When asked how come the couch was still up in the tree the men started a litany about the ‘man’ not coming around to clean up the trash after Katrina.
These guys in my mind are pretty typical of most blacks today in the hoods. The live for today only, Yesterday don’t matter and tomorrow? Well Tomorrow can take care of itself.
So if it comes down to a civil war based on Political or racial lines... I have to wonder if they have the stick-to-itiveness needed for such an endeavor? Or will they just burn and loot their own homes and neighborhoods and demand that the ‘man’ come and fix it like he’s supposed too.
As I was driving out of the garage to work in Harlem the morning of the day the OJ verdict was to be announced, I passed my boss (a black man) and said, "This truck WILL be back tonight. Even if there are body parts hanging on the grill, it WILL be back."
Riverswest is an area in Milwaukee that had a racial incident similar to this on the weekend of July 4th

I’d say that time era from the big Afro disco era until the end of Different Strokes series was the United States golden age for race relations.
After looking at that photo I now understand why Barack Obama sports short hair - - he wants to minimize his black look.
