At his press conference a few minutes ago, Obama whined Boehner wouldn't return his phone call this afternoon.

You are correct. Because the Repubs are cowards and we the people won’t hold their collective arse to the fire.
What people don't realize is that Boehner NEVER cries for himself or while doing his job.
But he is a softie when it comes to patriotic events, etc. I don't really mind a leader who tears up when he's talking about the values of America, our military, etc. And that is ONLY when Boehner gets teary.

It would not surpise me if Obama finds a new presidential authority under thee 14th amendment to do an end run around Congress and instruct the Treasury Department to raise the debt ceiling. There have been rumors about that for some time. If so Obama most certainly wants to see an impeachemnt poroceeding aginst him which he can parlay into racial conflist across Amereica to polarize us.

My bet is that 0bama will scotch any deal that comes before him and force the default. He is working for a default and a credit drop IMO. He will point the finger at the Pubbies and the MSM will try to carry that ball.

Obama/libs is/are going to force some kind of race war via his policies. No sane person WANTS that to happen. But it will whether we want it or not. The lack of sanity drives the problem. We might as well let it happen and get it over with so that sanity, rather than racial stupidity reigns. Until we end that race-based crap they push, Jessie, Al and Obama type libs will keep pulling the ‘threat’ every time they want their way.
We can stop this crap or our kids can assuming there’s a country left. But eventually it HAS to be addressed.

Didn’t he say a “broadening of taxes”? I took it to mean the large percentage of people who don’t pay ANY taxes will start having to pay.
The more people you have paying taxes (like us and not the free loaders), you can generate more income and perhaps reduce the taxes WE tax payers already pay.
The Speaker said a “broadening of taxes”. There is a large percentage of Americans who pay NO taxes, which increases ours.
If we have less people freeloading and force them to start paying, AS WE DO, it will increase revenue and perhaps decrease what WE already pay.
Frankly, anything that keeps us from getting tax increases in a recession is good within reason.
The McConnell plan is not what I would like, but it’s better than taxes.

Well that's the class envy koolaid they want you to drink. You can bet they won't be raising taxes on the lower class who pay no tax. They will go after tax breaks the middle class and rich use to lighten their load some since they already pay plenty in taxes. Don't fall for it. It's a ploy to bring more money so they can spend even more money. Any increase in taxes - period - is unacceptable.
