At his press conference a few minutes ago, Obama whined Boehner wouldn't return his phone call this afternoon.

There is some history here that many do NOT know, and do not know kristinn, and from where (they) speak.
Yeah, I know. I was making the point that some other people might learn from his experience.
But they don’t seem to.
For one thing, one of them IS a golfer. The other is simply a wannabee, a player (you know, you have to LOOK GOOD to play).
Golf does let you dress up funny, but it is NOT about narcissim. It is about precision and control. Quite lacking in the present..dent.
It was a good business model in the short term.
Garbage men make good money. I tip my guys who haul my garbage from the curb well every Christmas. I made the mess and they clean it up. God bless them.

Back on topic...Rahm Emanuel was right, a rare moment of honesty from statists about their intentions.
They figured that the US economy always recovers regardless of the obstacles. Pass socialist policies, and the economy will recover anyway, just a normal cycle.
But at some point even Aquaman and Michael Phelps will drown if you place a big enough anvil around their neck.
Stick to your guns Boehner, our kids are counting on you. They want to grow up in the same great country as their parents and grandparents.

Pissant had a pathological hatred of Palin. I suspect that in high school his girlfriend who looked remarkably like Palin left him for the captain of the football team. You can find pissant on that anti-FR website that is also populated by Mormons and queers that used to post on FR.
Boehner may have within him a deeply buried seed of greatness. If he does , it may germinate into the flower of freedom which he needs to understand he so clearly bears.
This is the time for Boehner to stand firm in order to preserve our Republic against the devolution of Freedom and free enterprise.None of the productive members of American society want to dwell in subserviance to a national socialist government as Obama has clearly planned to ram down our throats.In order to acccomplish this Obama must, as did his historical predecessors in Europe, destroy the wealthy conservative class. This Obama wants desperately to accomplsih via taxation, a kind of legal confiscation of wealth, and demographic class warfare.Boehner stands in his way, and if he does stand, then he may reveal his seed of greatness and become a true patriot of our nation. Obama will be stymied in his desperate effort to destroy wealthy Americans who create jobs in our nation, using a combination of over regulation of business, Health Care costs, and confiscatory taxation driven by false, created crisis.
I do support Boehner, but his unecessarily concilliatory record, usually becoming manifest just at the moments before victory is evident in that record.He has done that repeatedly. He must not do so in this instance, or he will be remembered only in infamy, as he who had the last best chance to stop the Nationalist Socialist movement in our nation, before we we are forced to physically fight for the Republic in our own communities as in the near future many are subject to the anarchy and violence Obama plans for us, just as he did in Kenya in 2006/2007, and most recently in Libya, where in 4 months Obama destroyed a perfectly economically viable nation for his own personal ideology. And he will destroy America for those same reasons if Boehner allows it.

You should understand that the words were 800 B in revenues. We don’t know what that was. You can increase revenues by removing subsidies, like ethanol subsidies, concrete subsidies, corn/crop subsidies. The number of subsidies that should not exist (to any conservative that is) would more that add up to not paying out 800 B. Such is the nature of our nanny state prop up govt.
The RINOs love the subsidies. So do the dimos. If in fact obambi agreed then this did the trick. But, the cuts in the entitlements freaked out senate leftie dems, and they demanded 400B in new TAXES. Boehner walked.
Does this make sense? Subsidies removed, and more than a few possible liberal tax loopholes closed. Done.
There has also been talk of selling off federal assets -- unused buildings and the like. Such sales would also represent "revenues".

They have the hedges set up AND the push for more monetized debt, loans from the chinee. Paulson is ensuring timmy’s portfolio is preserved for when he quits Treasury== ie. as soon as this is engineered acc. to goldman slacks.

Very nice predicament , and its good to be in it as early as possible before Nov 2012.Now the violence will begin as Obama calls out his street troops of thugs, IF we pass cut , cap and balance. This we must do, or allow the default and watch Obama act as a dictator under the cover of the 14th amendment as he has threatened.
I wish that were the way they were going about it, but the RINOs still stinking up the joint can’t be trusted to go that route alone. I will agree that such actions were likely included, but since Bohner didn’t explicitly state it, I don’t trust him anywhere enough to take it for granted. They want taxes as bad as the Dems to play with.

I was very pleased to hear this evening that he had ended negotiations with 0bama. He made it clear the reason why was that 0bama and the Senate Dems had brought nothing to the table, ever, and keep pushing for increased spending and increased taxes and they're lying.
When one party is closed off there is no basis to discuss anything with them. That is a bottom line fact that the other party has no power to change. Boehner and the House Pubbies have made a heroic effort to bring them to the table and be honest dealers and it has all been thrown back in their faces.
If Obama was American he would know that.
