Didn’t he say a “broadening of taxes”? I took it to mean the large percentage of people who don’t pay ANY taxes will start having to pay.
The more people you have paying taxes (like us and not the free loaders), you can generate more income and perhaps reduce the taxes WE tax payers already pay.
Well that's the class envy koolaid they want you to drink. You can bet they won't be raising taxes on the lower class who pay no tax. They will go after tax breaks the middle class and rich use to lighten their load some since they already pay plenty in taxes. Don't fall for it. It's a ploy to bring more money so they can spend even more money. Any increase in taxes - period - is unacceptable.
