Whites are abandoning Massachusetts cities at a rapid clip, continuing well-worn paths to the suburbs or out of state, according to new demographic data from the US census.
...The migration of whites out of communities has also left many public school districts in cities made up overwhelmingly of minority students. In Lawrence, just 6 percent of this years public school students are white. In Chelsea just 8 percent are, according to state Department of Education figures.
...The trend was strongest in lower-income communities plagued by violent crime and struggling schools. Yet wealthier communities like Beverly, Gloucester, Melrose, and Salem also saw declines, as did wealthy ones like Newton.

I can’t stand cities and I’ve always preferred rural life. I think I can count the number of ‘minorities’ in our town on one hand (and I get along with them just fine, thank you).
Demographics do correlate to crime rates,
that’s something that holds more true than not.
The glob is reporting to whip up racist fever.
I don’t believe that Laurence is 6% white....I have not seen a white person in 10 years traveling through Laurence.
By golly, you're right!
I'm sure they get all the benefits of being "in the minority"
How about “European-American”.or “Western European-American”
” Descendant of Indentured Servant American” or
“Descendent of Honest Hard Americans who were too embarrased to go on the Dole American”might be too long
I’m English-American, French-American, Dutch-American and German-American; all of which are minorities. For a person who is a combination of Inuit-American, African-American and Hispanic-American - they’d be only a triple-minority.
Jefferson felt the same way:
“I view great cities as pestilential to the morals, the health, and the liberties of man.”
E. Pluribus Unum ~ By golly, you're right!
And you owe all of China an apology...
Anglo Saxon Americans would be the white version of African Americans ???

She reminds me of the description given by Robert Heinlein in several of his future history books of the common people who by then have no discernible racial characteristics. The racial mix over so many generations has erased traditional racial characteristics.
This lays it out pretty perfectly:

It really is culture and not race.
A lot of these [the Bamster's] people did work for Bill Clinton.
As do I...but I think it ought to be "Caucasian - American"!!!
And if one wishes to parse it completely, one could refer to one's self as, say, "English-American", or "French-American", or "German-American", or "Italian-American", or "Portuguese-American", or "Vatican Cityite - American", or "Greek-American"...or such like.
“I cant stand cities and Ive always preferred rural life.”
The problem is that many if not most want the same rules for their rural neighbors that they had in the city. I prefer that we quarantine them and prevent the spread of liberalism.
??? Good question?
“Race” is a pretty recent construct, based on evolutionary/Darwinist assumptions.
It is true that the people groups tend to look alike, but that is more because they adapted to their locales, not because they are “more evolved” or “closer to gorillas” (as Darwin stated).
And, of course, these groups all developed their common cultures as well,
so there is a correlation between a people’s phenotype and their culture,
but it isn’t a “causation”.
Just because you have a certain skin color or eye shape does not predetermine your culture.
“I prefer the term Caucasian American.”
I’ve always liked “Caucasoid.”
This will require high speed Bullet School Busses to bus the whites in to the bad schools and minorities out to the good schools.
