I was appalled at Liz Trotta and 3 other conservative guest panelist (that I couldn't name) on this afternoons Fox newswatch hosted by Jon Scott all agreed that Palins new reality show, Sarah Palin's Alaska on the Discovery Channel was very unpresidential and it would sink her any chances for the White House.
The topic was that liberal advocacy groups were asking for the Discovery Channel to pull the plug on it. The consevative commentator Liz Trotta then said that she agreed with Karl Rove that this was a bad move for Palin. Trotta then goes on to take a pop shot at Palin saying "everytime this woman opens her mouth that her numbers go down". She then said "the more she speaks that she makes people simply not like her". Jon Scott did not ask Trotta why this was just like yesterday when Megyn Kelly didn't ask Meghan McCain why she thought Palin would be best as a reality star.
My question is why is Fox news who hired Sarah Palin allowing conservative guest freely without explanation to back up their facts to trash her and her message in a public forum? Why are they allowing people to tarnish her reputation as well as her new TV program which they advertize during commercial time? Something smells
I don’t think that person was being serious. That is putting immense pressure on Sarah to run, like its her or no one else. If she runs I absolutely 100 percent will support her, I will support her if she runs for President, I will support her if she becomes the Secretary of State, and anything else in between. I just think it’s wrong to say that she is not qualified to be President..she is absolutely qualified to be President(if she chooses to pursue it) because Obama has proven in these last two years that you don’t need the expertise to become President. People love to bash Palin even though she has busted her ass to take this country back from the Marxists. These elitist snobs instead of saying thanks trash her, shows what kind of mindset they have
My hunch is that she is just doing her thing and watching to see if she has an opening. She knows full well what the snobs think.
She did quit and she is politically radioactive now. But she’s certainly rich and in the limelight.
These things are not debatable. Her negatives from independents aren’t going to change and she’s very unlikely to win. I think it’s very unlikely to turn around either.
Do I dislike her? Not at ALL. Do I think she’s made bad and potientially fatal politcal moves, yep!
Liz Tratta is an old lion reporter, long with NBC News. As a long time Sarah supporter (since before McCain picked her for VP), I have to say that she is getting a bad bump from posters here today.
In spite of the fact that I disagree with her on Sarah, Liz is right on most of the issues, most of the time.

Were you serious about Palin or bust? I really want to know.
I think she’s disqualified herself through her actions since being governor. I said I’d vote for her if she’s nominated. Would I vote for in the primary? Maybe, it depends on the situation.
She had NO choice but to resign. It was either resign or end up broke. Imagine going to work everyday and having complaint after complaint on your desk, you can’t do your job right. The a-holes in Alaska and beyond did everything in their power to make her life a living hell in Alaska and instead of taking the bait, she made the right choice. I remember reading her messages every time she got one of those bogus complaints, it was twice a week, how can a person be expected to do their job with all that BS going on
Isn’t that something? The more the elitists and their cronies unmercifully trash her for the pettiest things, the more I want to vote for her. I just can’t wait until 2012.
There you go, acting like she suffered for our sins. That drama talk is painful.
She did NOT disqualify herself because of resigning as Governor. If those bogus ethics complaints her had never been made, she would have never resigned. She would have remained Governor, she already said so. She really had no choice in the matter, it was getting out of hand. One complaint, fine, deal with it, two, even three she can handle, but it was almost everyday, her job as governor was being diminished, which was the progressives whole point, to make her life a living hell
You’re right Obama wasn’t ruling class, he was and is Marxist class. Way to the left of socialist.
Oh, pooh. Show me the quote, O hyperventilating one.
He's a smart, honest guy -- engaging, intelligent....
And he's evidently doing a good job as governor.
Huh, if that is what you got from what I wrote I’m sorry, but your wrong. She is NO saint, no one is. I don’t put anyone on a pedestal
Pedastal again. Living hell...
If she went bankrupt, is that the worst thing that could happen in life? You make it sound like she had to decide to leap from the WTC or burn alive inside.
It was a financial move, and possibly a smart one. Politically, bad move.
Are you really that out of touch? They were not just smearing Palin, they were taking her and the Alaska govt. court where she and the state had to spend money and time defending themselves. Where have you been?
I guess she should be a rabble rouser instead. That would cinch it for her.
Yeah yeah, poor Sarah. I dunno how she can live with only her multimillion TV contracts. Life is so unfair.
Being in financial ruin is one thing, but not being able to do her job, what’s the point of being Governor if you can’t even govern your own state
