that you’re a deliberate negative stereotype hatched by the likes of DU and Kos, intended to make Free Republic look bad.

What part of my comment do you disagree with?

Look, if you want to keep this up, go for it. Also, If you think I am so bad try to get me banned, go for it. The little abuse button is right there.

At a young age I worked at crummy little jobs and saw how f-ed up it was. That is why I tried to educate myself, to get away from the booger eating morons and greedy stupid abusive little operators. I believe in the free markets, i have no problem with it. I am just pointing out reality.

A smart hard working person, who may be over educated over qualified, would seem like a breath of fresh air. even if they only worked a day.

No. Tide/PG cancelled the budget product because it was killing the main product.

The economy is bad and will get worse.

Americans brought this on themselves by idiots trading liberty for a TV clicker.

So PG cancelled the budget product because Americans watch TV. At least that's what your post says. Otherwise the last line of your post has no connection whatsoever to the first line.

I had a flat on the way in to work today. I'm certain it's because I watched TV last night.

And I think this huge storm sweeping the midwest today is also due to watching TV. (I knew I shouldn't have watched the whole movie. Now I'm responsible for tons of trees and branches being knocked down.)

(RC from post 80)Grossly overqualified employees have a well-earned reputation as trouble waiting to happen. After the initial gratitude wears off, they tend to become bored easily, are hypercritical of areas completely outside their current station and do not fit in with their peers, above and beyond the virtual certainty that they’ll bail at the first opportunity to return to their former careers and rate of compensation.

(RC from post 80)It’s awful for people unemployed and trapped there in this economy, but it’s a truism that has long been demonstrated in the workforce.

CV->Real people are hurting and to hear this is outrageous. .... The crapholes that would rather hire an illegal alien than just about anyone else are over this place. Tell me I'm wrong.

I included RC's original post that you seem to have so much trouble with just to keep the discussion on track. What did he say that was false? Everything he said is how it really is out there. Is it offensive? Probably, Is it unfair? Definitely. But the only way we can change it is to buy the business and hire who we want to hire.

Whether you admit it or not, Human resources types do look at people as being overqualified. It happens all the time and we cannot change that.

People are hurting, real people with real degrees and real experience are finding that they can't get a job because there are no jobs in their field and they are overqualified for everything else. It truly sucks. MY dad was out of work for several years a while back when his company (that he worked for) closed his location. Took him a long time to get a new job. He had the double whammy against him. He was over 50 and overqualified. Nothing we can do but get through it.

As a young girl I would go on ‘Midnight Margarine Runs’ with Mom & Grandma as we snuck across the Illinois Border to buy EVIL margarine which was ILLEGAL in Wisconsin at the time.

I used to do the same thing as a young lad. We'd drive down I-94 to just over the Illinois border where there was a store that stocked oleo-margarine by the case and come back with cases of it. (For some reason my dad didn't like butter!?)

I am a professional engineer, I only hire professionals. There is no such thing as OVERQUALIFIED in my line of work.

The last 5 words are the most important of that entire paragraph. In most lines of work there is such a thing as being overqualified, or at least that's how the human resources types see it.

But the landscape company owners and taco stand operators on Free republic crack me up. Like your stupid jobs you need filled are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO important you can't have somebody with a brain doing it. No you guys only hire idiots.

The smartest folks I've ever met all seem to be in the trades or running their own businesses. (I am also an engineer and have learned that education DOES NOT equal intelligence.) Your statement leads me to think you are a typical educated leftist snob.

Intimidated by a person with a college degree.

No one said anything of the sort. It is a truism that most overqualified people will leave a more manual job for something in their field when that something opens up. Why is it wrong to admit that?

Apparently, we live in a fascist state that stating a policy sucks and hurts real people, cannot be tolerated. I am not advocating changing any law or anything else. These guys who hire like that are not doing anything illegal, to some it may be unethical. Who knows? All I am doing is telling them that it sucks and now I am a left wing loon to them because of that.

Also , Human resource types are on the s-list with lawyers, politicians and MSM'ers.

What a bunch of thin skinned /deleted/

Right, so these same guys, who can't give a anyone "overqualified" a break make fun of those same people on unemployment. I've heard some around here call them lazy. That is what gives FR a bad name.

PS: I have never collected unemployment, but I may have to someday because I am overqualified to flip burgers.

You can’t even write and properly punctuate a simple sentence. A six-figure salary? That’s a joke, a lie.

As for intimidating people, don’t flatter yourself.

Put down the bottle and sober up. FReepers don’t make fun of the unemployed unless the reason for the unemployment is obvious, which it is in your case.

Your posts are making the rest of us cringe in embarrassment for you. You really need to shut up, sober up, get off this thread, and go ponder your thought processes, character and communication skills. Then clean yourself up and go fill out some job applications for work suitable to your experience and abilities, if you have any.

"The only person in my family who's really transformed, is me."

Bravo! You can see through the fog of lies. Good for you!!!

"I can only imagine how bummed they're all going to be next Tuesday."

All of the libs will be. It's going to be sweet, sweet music! The theater of the pinheads exploding skulls will be poetry in motion.

"In a nutshell, I think the American people are going to come to grips with the real threat of leftist ideology, and ban it entirely. Some folks might call that a suppression of free thought, choice, etc., but leftist ideals and practices have proven to be a very real cause of debilitating injury to the republic and her people during our recent history.

I think it's high time that we recognized it for what it really is, and treat it and it's proponents as the enemies they are."

Truer words have never been written! You are 1,000% right on target!!! Evil must be defined as such, and elimated.

I have degrees in Engineering and Mathematics, I make 6 figures. I feel blessed. You couldn't hold a candle to the most junior of the people I work with.

"Punctuation people" proof my documents, usually they are hot about mid-twenties or little old ladies looking to augment their income. Maybe I'll have one of them proof my posts on FR! LOL!

I’ve received resumes from numerous people with multiple advanced degrees seeking what is basically a journeyman level draftsman/data entry job.

And no way would I hire one of them. Someone that has spent that much time in school is definitely not a self-starter, and would need constant supervision to keep them on track.

.
For a young person, a recently acquired Bacalaureate degree will get you in the door, but for a middle aged engineer, those degrees held by unemployed are actually condemnations, if they couldn’t keep you from a layoff.

I am a senior engineer at a large technology firm. The people that do our documentation proofing etc. are usually young college grads of the female persuasion. That is just the way it is. I don't hire them, the illustrious HR department does that, the only thing they do right IMO.
