(RC from post 80)Grossly overqualified employees have a well-earned reputation as trouble waiting to happen. After the initial gratitude wears off, they tend to become bored easily, are hypercritical of areas completely outside their current station and do not fit in with their peers, above and beyond the virtual certainty that they’ll bail at the first opportunity to return to their former careers and rate of compensation.

(RC from post 80)It’s awful for people unemployed and trapped there in this economy, but it’s a truism that has long been demonstrated in the workforce.

CV->Real people are hurting and to hear this is outrageous. .... The crapholes that would rather hire an illegal alien than just about anyone else are over this place. Tell me I'm wrong.

I included RC's original post that you seem to have so much trouble with just to keep the discussion on track. What did he say that was false? Everything he said is how it really is out there. Is it offensive? Probably, Is it unfair? Definitely. But the only way we can change it is to buy the business and hire who we want to hire.

Whether you admit it or not, Human resources types do look at people as being overqualified. It happens all the time and we cannot change that.

People are hurting, real people with real degrees and real experience are finding that they can't get a job because there are no jobs in their field and they are overqualified for everything else. It truly sucks. MY dad was out of work for several years a while back when his company (that he worked for) closed his location. Took him a long time to get a new job. He had the double whammy against him. He was over 50 and overqualified. Nothing we can do but get through it.

Apparently, we live in a fascist state that stating a policy sucks and hurts real people, cannot be tolerated. I am not advocating changing any law or anything else. These guys who hire like that are not doing anything illegal, to some it may be unethical. Who knows? All I am doing is telling them that it sucks and now I am a left wing loon to them because of that.

Also , Human resource types are on the s-list with lawyers, politicians and MSM'ers.

What a bunch of thin skinned /deleted/
