The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-seven percent (47%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -23 (see trends).

That's what the "Abyss Index" (invented by a FReeper; if I knew who, I'd give credit) is. It's a way of pointing out how remarkable it is when Strongly Disapproves outnumber All Approves, both the Stronglies and the Somewhats.
The total Approvals are 42% (24% Strongly, and 18% Somewhat); total Disapprovals are 57% (47% Strongly, 10% Somewhat). In creating the Presidential Approval Index (currently -23%), Rasmussen tosses out the Somewhats, on the theory that they are less likely to vote, being somewhat ambivalent. Throw the Somewhats back into the mix, and the deficit for Obama is a still-dismal 15%.
It’s just too bad that he doesn’t care.
Blacks still give obama a 90% approval rating meaning the rest of America is down to about 20%....!
No surprise there.
The Won is descended on his father's side from Arab tribes that enslaved the "Blacks" of Africa.
And that is what he doesn't want seen on his birth certificate - the likely fact that his father is listed as "Arab" rather than "Negro" or whatever they were calling it 50 years ago.
Why do I get the feeling that dozens of secretaries of state(s) will be moaning about heavy turnout, their poor poll workers, their poor selves, etc.?
Why do these SOS’s run for office and moan about it when a heavy work day for them occurs once or twice per year?
They know when election day is before they’ve even assumed office. Is it too much to ask them to prepare adequately?
Another way of looking at this is that for every person who "Strongly Approves", there are nearly two who "Strongly Disapprove".
That is very interesting, first time I've heard it. And it sounds right.
When does he get to -101%? Then I’ll be satisfied.
Reminds me of an old Beatles song, “He’s a Real Nowhere Man”
“We can not recover from this economy. “
Sure we can.
Defeat all Democrats.
Stop all job-killing policies.
Keep taxes low.
THEN ... the economy will mend.
All you typical white people are racists.
I’m afraid this will lead to a Hillary nomination, and enough stupid voters will buy into the notion that she isn’t a Marxist like Obama.
He is truly the “cult of personality” and people are catching on.
Problem is polls don’t matter to Marxist dictators.
Obama Senior was half-black, half Arab Muslim. Arabs three hundred years ago sold Blacks into slavery.
Also, about that time white people on this continent were buying slaves.
So there you have it. Obama is descendant from people that sold people into slavery and bought slaves.
So how come he gets black support? (rhetorical)
This is in less than two years with all the lies in Obama's FAVOR.
This is stunning. People really hate this guy.
Good news all around!
That's what I don't get, the 24% who strongly approve of hussein? WTF? Seriously, I would like to ask any one of them why? Just what has hussein done worthy of anything but perhaps scorn, disdain, derision, and possibly prosecution? Any lib lurkers out there want to de-cloak and name one thing, any one thing hussein has done well, that would merit even a "hey, that was all-right?"
I don't think they can. I believe that 24% or so is a base that "approves" of hussein not because of the job he is doing as President, but because of who or what he is. (take your pick on metric/characteristic here). Thus that "approval" is probably racial, ethnic, or religious based and says a lot more about the biases, prejudices, and bigotry of the 24% than it does about hussein.
That's CNN for you.
This is the page I mean; Rasmussen says his month to month approval shows a lot of stability.
I dont every believe he will lost the 20 something percent that approves of him.
I’d like to see the index drop another point every week. Nothing to quick, so as by the end of October he’s sitting around -30.
