SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON A US man has been charged after he compiled a hit list of 15 people he believed had harmed Muslim civilians and deserved to die, court documents showed Wednesday.
Paul Rockwood and his wife Nadia were charged with lying to federal investigators about the compilation and content of the list, which Nadia Rockwood delivered to an unnamed individual in April at her husband's request."
SNIPPET: "According to plea agreement documents obtained by AFP Wednesday, Paul Rockwood converted to Islam around late 2001 and soon "became a strict adherent to the violent jihad-promoting ideology of cleric Anwar al-Awlaki."
SNIPPET: "Rockwood began researching explosive devices, and by late 2009 was discussing "committing acts of domestic terrorism, including... the use of mail bombs and the possibility of killing targets by gunshot to the head."
By early 2010, Rockwood "formalized" a list of some 15 specific targets, which may have included US soldiers. The list has not been released.
Nadia Rockwood was aware of her husband's radicalization, the documents said.
Both husband and wife subsequently lied to investigators about the content of the list, which was obtained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force."

That’s true. And at least the people who had to live under Stalin, those who survived, at least, have grown out of Communism and rejected it. There’s no chance with Islam. It kills individuals and societies.

“USA BEGINS TO MOVE AGAINST REVOLUTION MUSLIM”
SNIPPET: “It’s a safe bet there are additional indictments either being prepared or waiting patiently to be unsealed.”
Oh, believe me, I know. My kid's been on 3 Iraq tours, and been through 4 IED/EFP's and is slated to go to Afganistan. I've studied our enemy well.
Islam is a death cult.
God bless your family and thank your son for his service.
They always appreciate those words!
Yes, our troops are the best — always.
And then he becomes a ..... (why?), along ..... wife and they turn into homicidal maniacs.
Isn't that the beginning of so many horror movies of the Zombie, variant germ strain, devil/alien possession, type.
And when you think about it, isn't Islam like those sci-fi movies where the future is seen as being rigidity authoritarian where everyone has to think alike and dress in a prescribed manner and perform similar rituals.
Sarah Palin gives him a woodies.

SNIPPET: “CBS 11 News has obtained a newsletter sent out by the National Weather Service, welcoming Rockwood as a Meteorological Technician at the Weather Service Office in King Salmon in 2006. The newsletter claimed Rockwood was moving to Alaska from Bangor, Maine.”
SNIPPET: “In May, FBI investigators interviewed Rockwood and showed him a copy of the list. They say that’s when he denied creating the list and lied about the purpose of the list.”
SNIPPET: “The court still has to agree with the sentence, and Rockwood’s sentencing is set for August 23rd.”
SNIPPET: “Nadia’s sentencing is set for August 23rd as well.”
He was an ex-Navy weather guy and was hired by National Weather service about 5 years ago.
He always had his Koran at his desk and he was learning Arabic via Roseta Stone while at work. He aid he was going to move to Egypt to live. He hated Bush and was a 9/11 truther. He was also a big BIG fan of Ron Paul
Politically he was all over the place. He was a libertarian and very opinionated.
I tended to stay upstairs in my office when he was working. With the other forecasters I stayed downstairs and visited but for some reason I didnt like being around him
He was a nice enough guy but his anti-Bush BS tended to turn me off. Had I known this guy was a terrorist wannabe I would have went to work armed (which probably would have eventually gotten me fired or jailed)
He medically retired in April and I attempted to get his job but it didnt work that way. Now I wonder if he really had a medical problem or if he just had to get out of Dodge
Thanks hattend for your post.
Islam IS a mental disorder.
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

SNIPPET: “Having been radicalized by Awlaki, and believing it was his responsibility to kill on behalf of the “ummah,” Rockwood spent months compiling a list of targets who they believed had desecrated Islam. The list included a publishing company executive, a media personality, seven members of the military, seven unidentified individuals, two religious organizations, and two publishing companies.
Prosecutors believe it was more than just talk. Explaining the severity of the plot, court records show that:
“plans were well beyond the internet researching stage and had been in place for more than four years. While in Alaska, Rockwood researched and discussed methods of execution, often at great length and in significant detail, components for mail bombs were purchased, the targets had been selected and a loose operational time line was established.”
Having pled guilty, the couple faces sentencing next week. Paul Rockwood is expected to be imprisoned for eight years while his wife will receive probation.”

Alaska Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison for Making False Statements in Domestic Terrorism Investigation
Spouse Pleads Guilty, Sentenced for Making False Statements
ANCHORAGE, AKUnited States Attorney Attorney Karen L. Loeffler and FBI Special Agent in Charge Kevin Fryslie announced that Paul Gene Rockwood, Jr., a former King Salmon, Alaska resident, was sentenced today to eight years’ imprisonment in United States District Court for making false statements to the FBI in a domestic terrorism investigation. Rockwoods spouse, Nadia Piroska Maria Rockwood, was also sentenced today for making false statements to the FBI in connection with the investigation of her husband.
Chief United States District Court Judge Ralph R. Beistline imposed the eight-year sentence, pursuant to a plea agreement, entered into by the parties on July 21, 2010.
Also today, Nadia Piroska Maria Rockwood, 36, the spouse of Paul Rockwood, was sentenced for her felony conviction for willfully making false statements to the FBI. Under the terms of her plea agreement, Nadia Rockwood agreed to a sentence of five years of probation which was imposed by the court at sentencing.
According to the plea agreements and other documents filed with the court, Paul Rockwood converted to Islam in late 2001, or early 2002, while living in Virginia, and later became a strict adherent to the violent jihad-promoting ideology of cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki. Paul Rockwood held a personal conviction that it was his religious responsibility to exact revenge by death on anyone who desecrated Islam and, while residing in Virginia, he began researching possible targets for execution.
According to the filed documents, after he moved to King Salmon in 2006, Paul Rockwood continued his adherence to Al-Awlakis ideology and began researching the method and means to exact revenge on his intended targets, which included U.S. service members. Among other topics, he researched explosives and remote triggering devices. In 2009, he began sharing his ideas about committing acts of domestic terrorism with others, including the possibility of using mail bombs or killing targets by gunshot to the head. By early 2010, he formalized his list to include 15 specific targets, all outside the state of Alaska.
In April 2010, Paul Rockwood gave his written target list to his wife, Nadia, who, knowing of its purpose, carried the list with her on a trip to Anchorage. The FBIs Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) subsequently obtained the target list. On May 19, 2010, JTTF agents questioned Paul Rockwood and provided him a copy of the target list. In response to agents questions, Rockwood made false statements, denying he had created such a list, denying the purpose of the list and denying ever having such a list.
JTTF agents also questioned Nadia Rockwood on May 19, 2010, about transporting the target list authored by her husband to another person. In response, Nadia Rockwood made false statements, including deceptively claiming that she had delivered a book or a common letter to another person, among other deceptive explanations.
This investigation was conducted by the FBIs Joint Terrorism Task Force in Anchorage. The prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Steven E. Skrocki and Bryan D. Schroder, of the U.S. Attorneys Office for the District of Alaska, and Trial Attorney Paul Ahern, of the Counterterrorism Section in the Justice Departments National Security Division.
yep, ths is the one!
