Alaska has become the eighth state to declare that firearms made, sold and owned in the state are beyond the reach of the federal bureaucrats along the Potomac, with Gov. Sean Parnell's signature on the plan today.
"The Alaska Firearms Freedom Act frees Alaskans from overly bureaucratic and restrictive federal firearm regulation, and allows our state to assume the responsibility for regulation," said Rep. Mike Kelly, the lead sponsor on the plan endorsed by lawmakers in the recently closed session of the Alaska Legislature.
"The Interstate Commerce Clause is used by the federal government to regulate firearms that cross state borders. The Alaska Firearms Freedom Act makes it clear that Alaskans will be responsible for firearms that are made in Alaska, for use in Alaska, and have 'Made in Alaska' stamped on them.
"Outdoorsmen, hunters and all Alaskans defending and feeding their families, and protecting their property, should welcome this new law," he said.

The law also requires the state to defend any Alaskan who is "prosecuted by the federal government under their authority to regulate interstate commerce."
"We welcome Alaska into this states' rights liberty march," said Gary Marbut of the Montana Shooting Sports Association.

Gotta love the states stepping up and declaring their rights against the usurper. Funny, I’ve never seen this much “push back” from the states...probably because no pres has been as abusive to state’s rights as O-A-Hole.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
That's what I keep saying about all laws like this passed. If they don't include everything, and I mean everything, then they're pretty much useless posturing.
I'm not sure if Texas has one of these yet, but some state needs to grow a pair and include full autos, suppressors, launchers/Masterkey system; basically everything you can put on a gun.
The fed park people don't know what to do when the entire community comes unglued over regulations that are matter of fact back east. You see if the crap hits the fan, it reflects on park ranger in charge in a negative manner. He gets blamed by higher ups so they don't take the fall and usually gets demoted and transferred. So usually the park people are quite easy going and look the other way every time they can. Trouble is they get heat from the political higher ups to enforce their plans. I have gotten along with all the park rangers here and actually kinda like them. We did have one many years back that had to escorted out of here with police protection after he got outta hand but that's not the norm. We have a new guy who said if lower 48 greenies didn't hear wolves when they visited our park, he wasn't doing his job. That set people off who all agreed maybe he should start studying the moose not wolves. This guy ain't gonna last, handwriting on the wall.

An early version of Montana's proposed law had that, too, but it was amended out before being passed into law.
The statutes will be tested in federal courts, which will apply SCOTUS precedent and find the state laws to be unconstitutional. These ruling will be upheld on appeal, and SCOTUS will deny hearing the cases.
The federal government and federal courts are corrupt on 2nd amendment legislation and jurisprudence - they have ZERO moral authority, as the decisions are intellectually defective, in obvious ways.
