If we had 50 million American born citizens who hadn’t been aborted, the ponzi scheme wouldn’t be sputtering out either...”

Politicos want to substitute 50 million illegals who have health problems, do not speak English, cannot drive worth a crap, don’t think INSURANCE should apply to them, don’t want to obey any laws, or pay any income taxes. I personally got a w-4 from a division manager that said an 18 year old kid had 11 dependents...I said I was changing it to S-1 until he could prove the 11. I held my ground over the verbal berating.

Such a deal!!!!

Mexicans & other Hispanics have no skin in the game- Giving them another pass called amnesty just isn’t fair to the rest of us.

Charlie Crist has no party structure supporting him any more, as he has essentially resigned from the Republicans, and unlike Arlen Specter, has not yet had the Democrats pick up his option.

A difference without a distinction, one might say, as he may just as well be on the Democrat ticket. Like Ross Perot in 1992 and 1996, the election outcome is skewed sufficiently so that a plurality margin is all that is necessary to decide the result.

This should not be. Florida has no provision for a runoff election, at least not at this level.

Meanwhile, Florida politics just has to suffer this thorn.

Maybe someone can explain to me how flooding the nation with people who never paid into Social Security, and yet will definitely get it when the time comes, will make it more solvent.

I’m sure Crist has this all figured out...

If we had 50 million American born citizens who hadn't’t been aborted...

I know I will get flamed for this but it started when women were indoctrinated that their lives weren't "complete' unless they had careers outside of the home.

Women's Liberation fallacy came from upper middle, high class liberals who were bored with their luxury lifestyles(everything was provided, food, big houses maids and nannies took the "drudgery' of being a housewife)

Women of course, have worked outside of the home throughout history. It was of necessity. It was a middle class dream that a wife/mother didn't work outside the home, not a prison sentence imposed upon a wife by a stereotypical abusive husband. It was a mark of shame a man bore as if he didn't or wouldn't work hard to support his family(How times have changed!!!)

Having large numbers of women(who generally worked for less) was a boon for companies but at the cost of lowering the average wage for working families.

Soon the average family HAD to have a second income or risk falling behind "The Joneses" next door. In the case of my own family, we did without all the perks the neighbors, relatives and friends had. We made do with having a large garden and Mom took whatever jobs she could and still take care of us.

She later stated her own business and did well enough.

By the time we were in college, half of the ones who worked were divorced, their children didn't go to college or finish college. And a few spent time in the legal justice system. Now only two of our group are still married( one widowed) their children have had multiple marriages, children from mixed spouses.

And they aren't the Brady Bunch.

Wasn’t that England and France’s rationnal for allowing unchecked immigration. How’s that workin’ out for them?

Suntan boy can’t count. Adding more people makes a Ponzi scheme worse.

Last week Rat Congressman Xavier Becerra was promoting promoting the so-called path to citizen by dishonestly arguing, "If you’re thinking in terms of this fiscal commission and our efforts to try to get this budget realigned, it makes sense to consider something that could add tens of billions or hundreds of billions to the economy."

Crist is just parroting Rat/Rino talking points.

They never seem to have an answer for that, do they?

That it’s a pyramid scheme never even occurs to anyone, they just make their payments or cash their checks, never asking how or why. Assuming it was always there, and will always be there.

Mmm, Charlie,

But how is this fair to the millions of people diligently waiting in line to get into this country using legal methods?

Gosh, I know how angry I get when someone tries to cut ahead of me in line on a Magic Kingdom ride. How angry would it make these people following the law to become LEGAL immigrants to see millions of people who broke the rules getting on the awesome ride ahead of them?

Isn't this proposal really just rewarding bad behavior (those who entered illegally into the United States or overstayed a legal visa get citizenship) while punishing good behavior (those who are trying to enter legally don't get visas for another decade because of all the extra people we just legalized)? Gee, Charlie, that just doesn't seem fair to me.

Big mistake, Charlie. Even hardened Democrats oppose amnesty. Say good-bye.

1. There are not that many Europeans who want to come here. Even the Poles would rather go to Ireland or the UK if they can't get something going in their own countries.

2. If we adopted a point system based on skills, a la Canada, we would see more of a shift toward Asia and the Middle East in terms of our immigrant population, rather than Europe or Latin America.

3. There are plenty of Russians already in New York.

I wouldn’t expect Crist to say anything different. The people in Florida who own Crist are among our country’s largest employers of illegals.

No. The problem is too much GOV spending -the solution is NOT to increase the tax rolls -the solution is to reduce GOV and slap thier hands everytime they reach for the cookie jar...

I hope this clueless idiot progressive RINO is retired from public life soon...

I tend to agree with you. In business/capitalism salary is all about supply and demand. When we virtually doubled the workforce we in essence cut in half salaries with the end result -two income earners required for a family...

In essence, we saw a redistribution of labor from family to business and with this as well a redistribution of the success mindset from sacrifice and long term planning to selfishness and short term satisfaction...
