Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the networks programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called War Stories.
Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

She will never run for President. If her quitting her governorship didn’t convince you and her miserable experience with the American left didn’t convince you, then this probably won’t either, but it’s not going to happen.
Most of the old TV shows are available.
“Good for her. If she is able to earn such amounts, I say more power to her.”
I agree.

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our childrens children say of us we justified our brief moment here; we did all that could be done.
-Ronald Reagan
We don't need a show on Fox!
I do not like it, Sam I am,
I do not like green eggs and ham!
Sarah Palin is the prototypical example, of what the 1960s and 70s feminists said they wanted women to become, when we said they were lying.
She decided to become more than just a mom, and excelled.
She decided to remain faithful to her husband and remain married.
She had children, and raised them to be good people.
She sought to lead others, and impress upon them good values.
So what did the party that feminists clung to do? It trashed Sarah Palin non-stop. It forced her family to have to pay so much money for legal defense on trumped up charges, that she had to step down from public office.
It’s members attacked her children. One was attacked for getting pregnant out of wedlock, even though she exhibited good character by not destroying the life within her. One was the victim of thoughtless comments, because he was a child with Down’s Syndrome, whose mom was supposedly bad because she kept him with her when she traveled.
And then she was trashed for holding public office, because that made her a bad mother. Never mind most of the people in Congress and the White House have children.
And now that party, the leftist media fellow travelers, and you can count on it..., the university profs all trash her without rest.
So much for the credibility of the feminist movement that still clings to a degenerate political party. So much for the credibility of the Democrat party, that for so many years championed women to become Sarah Palin, so they could then seek to destroy what those women became with those nasty rights they said they wanted for them.
Well said. Megan is very bright and beautiful but seems to lack a strong moral backbone and views the law from a place that doesn't champion what is right.
Ratings will go through the roof even higher.
I hate liberals. I hate democRATs.
I hope that somehow this will extend to Network Fox too. I told the owner of a local bistro at lunch that this was happening, and they were really upset because this is cable only. They gave up their cable as a cost cutting measure and put th emoney into their bagel shoppe. Their oldes daughter (homeschooled) LOVES Sarah. Debbie says that their daughter might just figure out some way to pay to hook up cable again so that she can watch Sarah.
Sometimes these politicians (and all of us on the Internet) don’t realize how many people don’t have cable. We need every vote, and that means those whose lives are not ruled by access to cable Tv.
This is a very shrewd move for her. Media saturation on the biggest conservative outlet in the country. The buzz and support it’ll generate before 2012 is enormous, and gives her a platform to help trash the Dems before the November elections. Color me impressed.
Your wife rocks!
From my understanding that interview actually went on for hours and they edited it to hurt Sarah. The got you questions were not just a few but Sarah got irritated with a long stream of them. She shouldn't have been put in that situation as it was a trap.
That’s a good point BellFlower. You are astute to point out that some formats would essentially be demeaning to her stature. The presentation format would lend itself to her coming off informed and above the fray. I’m glad you brought the point up as you did. Nice one.
I find it deliciously ironic that the woman the world has dubbed stupid will now get the chance to prove how smart she is on a daily basis. She is going to do more to spread the conservative message than all the pols in DC combined. A lot of Dems and libs watch Fox. Oh man, I can’t wait to see her on a panel with Bob Beckel, after all the nasty things he’s said about her. He’s going to melt like butter in her hands. And just think of the ass Joy Behar is going to make of herself over every word she says. AAWWYEEEEAAAHH This is going to be GREAT! Though I am sorry they’re going to have to move to New York. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.
You make such a good point. You really ought to write to Roger Ailes to tell him. Maybe they can put her on Fox radio also if she has a commentary from time to time that doesn’t necessarily require video.
This is her, “Mr. Murdoch, I,m tearing down this wall” moment- to give people a chance to know the real Sarah, rather than the media Sarah.
She’ll slay ‘em.
