Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the networks programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called War Stories.
Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

Sometimes I wonder if some FReepers actually read the whole article, this is short of a full show, but puts herself on TV regularly with specials and on air commentary, multi-year is optional folks
Roger Ailes doesn’t play softball.
We have Comcast cable for broadband Internet and for unlimited telephone service with 8X8.
For TV we have DirecTV, it is the best of the lot, having tired them all.
Hey Greg! Hope you are feeling better this afternoon :)
You are going to have to expand the Clymer, PA Palin HQ soon ;)
Another great move by Gov. Palin
I gotta get me an LCD TV so that I can watch Fox News in high definition. Seeing Sarah is great, but seeing her in High Def, AWESOME!! GO GET EM SARAH!!
She's just going to be a contributor. That means she'll get paid to appear rather than showing up and getting interviewed for free. She will not be in a box and will not be full time. The article states she will not have her own show.
When the MSM refers to her comments on FOX News, they will be advertising Fox. Will this result in fewer Sarah jabs?
Stick a fork in CNNMSNBC.
THANK YOU!! took the words right out of my mouth. The ones crying OH NOES, she isnt running for President, were never going to vote for her anyway. She will be doing on air commentary, basically facebook but now on TV..this is GREAT news, just hope its true. This still has not been confirmed by anyone

FoxNation does have it up on their website...so its must be true, but the details I wouldn’t trust much of the NYT
The article suggests the formal announcement will come later today on Fox News Channel. It also suggests her comentary or program, might be along the lines of Oliver North’s War Stories. I see Sarah’s role on FNC as a completely positive move.
I am completely confident that Roger Ailes likes her and plans to showcase her in a most favorable light.
Here's part of a pilfered post from HA that I found interesting:
"The obvious place for Palin to re-tool her political image is FOX television. FOXs viewers are Palins potential voters. It is ironic that FOX president Roger Ailes is the genius TV producer who erased candidate Nixons flaws in a controlled environment and facilitated the greatest political comeback in American history, is at the helm at FOX."
Fox Nation does have it up, but it just links to the original story. You would think with such huge news like this, Fox News would be talking about it, not a peep. Makes me think this story might in fact be false
Very interesting indeed.
Well now, there ya go.
Well, Beck is there right?
I am sure he has some good guests and I know I would enjoy what many have to say. I just can’t take Huckabee. He is so smarmy. I wish now, however, that I had seen the ElAl rep.....that would have been worth it!
Yep, very interesting..Fox News doesn’t only cater to Republicans, many Dems watch Fox as well, and many of them don’t follow her facebook posts or have a favorable opinion of her. This way she can get her face out there plus give her opinion about Obama. this is gonna be great!
