Scientists Back Off of Ardi Claims (Evos give climate-hoaxers a run for their money...LOL!)
ICR News ^ | December 4, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

In May 2009, a remarkably well-preserved extinct primate, nicknamed “Ida,” was hailed as one of the most important fossil finds ever. It had features that some interpreted as a link between two primate body forms. At the time, ICR News suggested that its evolutionary significance was far overblown, predicting that the scientific consensus would offer retractions. Those retractions came three months later, confirming that the fossil―called Darwinius―was really just an extinct lemur variety...

LOL--I went back to re-read the post. I mis-read the emphasis on your statement.

Sorry.

>> Gnosticism is Satan’s crown jewel, because it permeates so many groups, clubs, churches, and secret societies.

If you read Revelation chapter 2 and three, you will see that God declares that there is no perfect church, but he did promise the Philadelphians that they would not suffer the hour of temptation. <<

So should I move to Philadelphia or away from it? If they don’t have to suffer int he hour of temptation, does that mean they will be the fist to be Nuked, Brimstoned, etc? Of they will all be Raptured up by God?

So a single incorrect claim in paleontology that takes three months to correct is somehow equivalent to the AGW fraud?

Look, I am not a Christian, I have no dog in this fight. However, if you think that this is the only "mistake" or "incorrect claim" that evolutionists have made over the years you need to do some study. The claims of evolutionists are full of mistakes, incorrect labeling etc. This is just one of many. Anytime someone digs up an extinct primate of any kind it is hailed as a link to humans. So far most of them have been exposed as fraud. The French exposed even Lucy(back about 1990 or so, forget the exact date) as being an extinct Chimpanzee and not a link to humans at all.

If you are going to fight against creationists you need to come up with a more plausible argument than that this is a "single" incident of mistaken identity.

Y’know, I was musing earlier about the falsification of archaeological evidence. Does anyone believe that had entire woolly mammoth carcasses not been culled from the tundras, and they had lived further south and only BONES had been found instead, that they'd have been dated as living tens of millions of years ago, instead of thousands?
But let's take the evos at their word for a moment. *cough* That “extinct” coelacanth fish pulled from the sea 70 years ago was clearly alive and well, yet the evos had the previously discovered bones dated at tens of millions of years old. If the dating of the bones had been correct, then NO evolution occurred in this species in all that time! The same with that squirrel carcass found a few years ago of yet another “ancient”, “extinct” breed, with no apparent mutations. So which is wrong, the “scientific” dating methodology, or the idea that major magical positive evolutionary changes occur over millions of years, or both??

" For example, we’re capable of devising tests to see if the universe is expanding or contracting."

Not if General Relativity is even close to fact. That information lies beyond an "event horizon"

After a 25 ton apatosaurus climbed on the ark, it tipped, spilling all those species out. Then they drowned.

Anyone can write this stuff.

But seriously, in a previous exchange, I was told by a creationist that the fish were killed in mudslides associated with the flooding. When I asked how all the mud made it into the middle of the ocean he had no answer.

Creationism is a big money enterprise similar to global warming, but without the big money government sponsorship. It’s going to be around forever.

If you read Revelation chapter 2

Who created Satan?

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

I did not pose the question. There are definitely parts of Catholicism I don’t hold with, as with Methodist et al.

The question posed was designed to drive the wedge you are feeling. Christians should beware of false teaching. Those are those which run counter to the Bible, regardless of denomination. No apology from me there, ever.

IF a catholic were to read that definition I just typed and feel anything but an ‘Amen’ moment, the problem is not with me.

The question does not drive the wedge, your response drives the wedge.

Look, you’ve based your whole life on believing that everything in the Bible is the infallible word of God. Maybe it isn’t. If you come to that realization, maybe you’ll be a little more tolerant. Believe it or not, you can think the Bible is not the one hundred percent word of God and still be a good Christian.

I do, I do! Those genuflecting at Master Darwin's clay feet can join hands with the GWF (Global Warming Frauds) and the ardent for Ardi crowd.
Ardi Har Har would probably be more comfortable bent over anyway with those long arms and gimpy feet.

I'm thinking Ardi will go into the basement storage not to reappear again.
