Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.
The gunman used two handguns, Cone said. He wasn't sure if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.
This evil man no more suffered from PTSD than my dog.
I know soldiers who do- and this man has nothing in common with them. Nothing. They are honorable warriors. The major was not a warrior, nor was he honorable.
Did he go to a Medrassa as a kid? Islam is a brainwashing into hatred. How do you excuse suicide bombers?? When do we put our soldiers lives in front of PC dogma.

Appalling! I think sociopaths frequently have to guess at what is appropriate empathetic behavior. Often they guess wrong.

Mr. Hasan is a graduate of Virginia Tech University, where he was a member of the ROTC and earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 1997. He received his medical degree from the military’s Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 2001. At Walter Reed, he did his internship, residency and a fellowship.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Mr. Hasan’s parents were born in Jordan. The newspaper quoted Representative Michael McCaul of Austin, who has been briefed on the shootings at Fort Hood, as saying that Mr. Hasan “took a lot of advanced training in shooting.”
Hmmm...took a lot of advanced shooting training. Sounds like this was planned and not a spur of the moment thing.
That PTSD nonsense was put in by his lying cousin. Bet the entire family were terrorists.

Furthermore, don't psychiatrists receive special training to NOT be impacted by the horror stories they learn from clients?
It's not like he didn't have YEARS of clinical training, it's not like he was some naive volunteer with no background on counseling.

According to my family members and friends in the medical field, ODs are generally those that could not get into med school. They’re quite often quacks and are to be avoided. I have no idea if this is truly the case, but I follow their advice and avoid them.

Almost all soldiers on any base I’ve been on were unarmed, unless on a specific guard or security detail.
