Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.

The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.

The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.

The gunman used two handguns, Cone said. He wasn't sure if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.

I call total BS on PTSD. If he was such a delicate flower it damaged his sensibilities to hear war stores from soldiers, why the freaking hell wasn’t he tossed out from the military?

And from his statements about Muslim agression and so on - it’s clear he was just a jihater.

Actually, the guy was on the Fed's radar for strange postings on the internet according to reporter Randi Kaye on CNN. That's the only thing of any value that CNN has come up with.

Randi Kaye went on and on earlier during Cambell Brown's show about the perp's cousin Natter Hasan saying that his cousin was a "good American", he was persecuted, harrassed regarding his "heritage", yadda, yadda, yadda, but DID NOT MENTION Retired Col. Terry Lee's remarks regarding this nut case Hasan. This is important as the media is trying to spin this in a certain direction. Also, their reporter at the White House (man, didn't catch the name) and also Barbara Starr (no surprise) said that this was not a terrorist attack, etc. We should not "jump to conclusions" regarding ethnicity, etc. They are desperate. This kind of biased coverage needs to be exposed in a big way.

Well I just feel like it demeans our soldiers who do suffer from PTSD. I have no basis for this opinion, but I bet a lot of soldiers do suffer - it just seems natural in a way to me. But I have not heard of a lot of them shooting over 40 people before being stopped. Something else is in the mix here. It seems obvious.

I forget the name, but someone was telling Chrissy Matthews that poor widdle Dr. Hasan simply couldn’t take all the stories he was hearing from his patients about Iraq and Afghanistan — REALLY. It was PTSD by osmosis.

Question now is whether he reportedly made these threats and this kind of jehadi crap talk (bombings/attacks) in ENGLISH or in ARABIC online and if they were on domestic US websites or Middle Eastern (Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Saudi) sites, if he received feedback from overseas, etc. etc. etc... Also I am wondering what branch of Islam? Salafist (Wahabbi), Sunni, Shia? I am sure there is an active cyber trail to his comments--this stuff cannot be easily sanitized from the web as we all know. Probably under a nomdeplume.

I am seeing a nickname of "AbduWali" on some site references, under this shrink "Nidal Malik Hasan" at Fort Hood.
