"Republican Dede Scozzafava today endorsed Democrat Bill Owens, her former opponent, in Tuesday's election to fill the North Country congressional seat formerly held by John McHugh.
Scozzafava suspended her campaign for the 23rd District seat Saturday, citing weak poll numbers and inadequate campaign funds.
In a statement released this afternoon, she called Owens ''an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York.''"

The Rinos are surviving on “winner take all” republican primaries. With 1 Rino and 9 conservatives they win every time.Mc Amnesty never got over 37% in any state but the system was rigged and he stole the nomination. The Cross over vote for theses pigs is undeniable. If 70% of the party was rejecting this open border freak how in the hell did he get the nomination? The Answe: WINNER TAKE ALL !!! If the Republican National Committee were actually
conservative and held to Reagan principles, I would
not care if moderates also wanted to be associate
with the party. There are districts that would never
elect a Reagan Conservative. In those districts, if
the best we can do is a 75% ‘er, than fine. What I
find disagreeable is a national Republican party that
has no conservative core principles and wants to be
another Democratic Party in order to gain power...

I switched my registration to Independent several weeks ago. I am done with the party of Steele, Powell, Crist, the Maine snow queens, etc. etc. I believe they are too entrenched to oust them, but Sarah, as leader of the new Conservative Party can take most of their membership and relegate the Republicans to the third party status. We can do this by 2012, and judging by the NY election we can begin making inroads in 2010.
For our purposes of "RINO Hunting" I think a better litmus test would be to see how Republicans vote on IMMIGRATION. Remember that all the sellouts to the conservative cause tend to lean toward the treasonous "open borders" position.

For those that are "borderline" I would check to see how NARAL (ugh) rates them. Anything higher than a 0% rating from that evil organization would make them bad news.
What about this dodo Boehner from Ohio: he calls Scozzafavabeans a moderate! - an example what the GOP party needs more of! Since when is homosexual marriage moderate? Infanticide moderate? who many former gop types have the body snatchers gotten in the beltway?

I like JD and I would rather drink beer and shoot the bull with him than McCain but he's just not in the same league. I would much rather have McCain in Goldwater's seat.
Stumping for McCain after his decade + of spitting on conservatives, sending his minions Graham & Meghan to do his dirty work, and his obvious spineless and weak campaign in 2008 is a disgrace to this fine conservative forum.

McCains seems to play a good Conservative when Reelection time comes around, or when a President BUSH isn’t in OFFICE.
