Betraying our dead
New York Post ^ | 09/11/2009 | Ralph Peters

Posted on 09/11/2009 5:21:12 AM PDT by fiscon1

Eight years ago today, our homeland was attacked by fanatical Muslims inspired by Saudi Arabian bigotry. Three thousand American citizens and residents died.

We resolved that we, the People, would never forget. Then we forgot.

We've learned nothing.

Instead of cracking down on Islamist extremism, we've excused it

Some of us have not forgotten and are making sure our children do not forget

My kids watched the entire 9-11 special (Inside 911) that Clintons and other liberals tried to ban or downplay

The major tenet of liberalism is excusing bad behavior. That would include really bad behavior.

Our own government began making enormous efforts to "forget" 9/11 within days after the incident.

The fact that nobody in this government (from any administration) was sacked or prosecuted for their dereliction of duty pretty much says it all.

LT Col Peters (retired) was on O’Reilly last night and as usual did not sugar-coat it. What a brave stand up guy for truth.

Such as grounding all air traffic in America for 4 days? Launching a war on Afghanistan with forces depleted under Clinton and opening a second front in Iraq to stop what the administration thought would be the next 911 on steroids (with WMD) ? Creating a new Cabinet organization known as "Homeland Security"? Please do not pass your koolaid. Rebuilding Manhattan and the Pentagon, going on with life and business to keep people working and relieve them from fear, Bush throwing out the first pitch of the World Series- was an act of defiance to being beaten down by 11 nuts, not forgetting what happened.

I've got two words for you, chief: "Jamie Gorelick"

And for me, the most enduring image of the post-9/11 world is this one:

The putz who is the current mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, further betrayed our 9/11 dead by preceding the moment of silence observed at 8:48am when the first plane hit with not just a mention of Obama’s day of service desecration, but by pledging NYC would do the same henceforth. Beyond outraged.

To me, it was Bush with the FDNY firefighters on September 14, 2001 and Bush throwing out that pitch at the baseball game.

I tried to find a photo of Bill Clinton visiting the WTC after the 1993 terrorist attack and couldn’t find one. Then I remembered. He didn’t go. He spoke on the radio and told people not to overreact. He turned it over to the DOJ as a criminal case, which accomplished nothing. Speaking of Jamie Gorelick.

Ramzi Youseff (nephew of Khalid Shakyh Muhammed) planner of the 1993 attach, when captured, said he flew out of NYC that night after the 1993 attack, saw the WTC tower still standing, and began then to plan a more successful terrorist attack for next time.

Haven't you heard? Obamessiah and those in power have ALREADY FORGOTTEN WHAT HAPPENED AND SHOVELED IT UNDER THE NATIONAL "RUG". Today is merely a "National Day of Service".

They are September 10 people living in a September 12 world. THERE IS NO WAR ON TERROR, Islamic TERRORISTS and Islam are our "friends" and Islam is the "Religion of Peace".

We along with the CIA and anyone who wants to protect America from these animals who are actively trying to destroy America and convert or kill us are now the Enemy!

He’s at the Pentagon. Disgusting considering the fact that his friend Bill Ayers bombed the Pentagon.
