MSNBC is having an on air meltdown over a man their camera crew videotaped openly carrying a handgun at an anti-Obama protest in Portsmouth, New Hampshire this morning near where Barack Obama will be holding a town hall meeting later today.
MSNBC showed footage of the man with the gun openly holstered to his right leg. He was holding a large sign with words about the tree of liberty.
The Portsmouth police chief informed MSNBC the man was legally armed.
The man was reportedly standing with a group of protesters on the property of a church.
More as this develops.
It IS pushing the envelope. I admire the guys cajones! I’m not so sure the Secret Service will agree. I hope to see this on Fox News or I will be very disappointed. We don’t have an open carry in Pa. We have concealed carry. I just wished more law abiding sisters and brothers carried.
Crissy softly sobs to Keith, hold me...please!
Olberbutt softly sobs to Matthews, “hold me...please!”
BTTT
And that begs the question “Who is the militia?”
In the 2008 decision of the Supreme Court in District of Columbia v. Heller, the de jure definition of “militia” as used in United States jurisprudence was discussed. The court’s opinion made explicit, in its obiter dicta, that the term “militia”, as used in colonial times in this originalist decision, included both the federally-organized militia and the citizen-organized militias of the several States: “... the ‘militia’ in colonial America consisted of a subset of ‘the people’those who were male, able-bodied, and within a certain age range” (7) ... Although the militia consists of all able-bodied men, the federally organized militia may consist of a subset of them”

HE DOESN’T NEED a gun. Only the Government needs a gun to enforce our laws. I mean he’s not even hunting. The only purpose of having a gun when not hunting is to kill a innocent human being.
And about the following quote, I demand to know who it said it!!! They must be anti-human or something.
“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”
Blackjacks and brassknuckles, right on!!.
Whre can I get a baton like that?
NEVER MOVE TO VIRGINIA
LOL pst MSNBC many people conceal carry legally you dolts get off your anti-Americanism and join in the land of the free.
Zero is out of his element. He’s not in San Francisco today, he’s in New Hampshire. The ‘God and gun clingers’ crowd will be represented and very visible. IMO, speaking in New Hampshire is a really dumb move on his part. Boston would have been a more receptive environment for a discussion on Deathcare.
Screw the fricking Secret Service. Let them grow a pair. Did they get their training from Oprah too?
‘However, I would also not have done so today. Whether we like it or not, there is a different security standard that applies to the POTUS’
I do agree with your sentiment. Still, since the White House ratcheted up the tension by sending out Union goons to intimidate opponents to Deathcare, it’s not unreasonable for protestors to be concerned about their own safety.
We might get a conservative governor next time around... but northern VA is turning very blue. :0(
If only there was someone who said lets all calm down, don’t bring weapons to political events. Oh I guess Obama already talked about this:
Said the Dem candidate at a Philly fundraiser on Friday night, anticipating Republican attacks:
If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Said Obama. Didn’t someone also say don’t get in their face, don’t hit them twice as hard yada yada yada.
Find something to do... you’re obviously bored.
This man’s gun would have already been removed if he posed any threat to the President. He is obviously standing where he is not even a remote threat to the President.
My State (GA) does not allow a license holder to carry concealed or openly at any “public gathering”.
Does that law apply in the state where this happened? (NH?)
