White House Move to Collect 'Fishy' Info May Be Illegal, Critics Say
Foxnews ^

The White House strategy of turning supporters into snitches when they see "fishy" information about the health care debate may run afoul of the law, legal experts say. "The White House is in bit of a conundrum because of this privacy statute that prohibits the White House from collecting data and storing it on people who disagree with it," Judge Andrew Napolitano, a FOX News analyst, said Friday. "There's also a statute that requires the White House to retain all communications that it receives. It can't try to rewrite history by pretending it didn't receive anything," he said. "If the White House deletes anything, it violates one statute. If the White House collects data on the free speech, it violates another statute."

“The White House wants so much information on us, yet won’t release anything on Obama himself.”

Fer sure.

Excellent!

Since when has the Left let a little thing like illegality, or evidence of it, get between them and achieving their ends?

From the article,

..............."But Napolitano said the White House probably cannot be sued because of sovereign immunity, unless someone was harmed by what the government did with the records. But that's unlikely, he said, because the person would probably be unaware of the harm.

"That's a silent violation of your right to privacy," he said."....................

Hmmmmm.

What do they care about mere laws? Laws are only meant to be used to control the peasants.

If you find an easy way to do this please FReep mail me. I wanted to do it on my late Dad due to the “stories” he told me about his government work.

Problem is that when I went to do a FOIA I found out I would have to do one on each and every agency, department, type of military (where he had been stationed, etc). The list was endless........

Typical of a Narcissist!

This creature (and no, I'm not certain that God created Zero) makes Bubba Klintoon look like an innocent child.

Zero is D A N G E R O U S!

We've never had a POTUS that has hated us and our country more!

Yeah, when a black guy illegally collects information, the law should have empathy. It’s one of the great legal principles.

“Time for a special prosecutor!!!!!!!!!!!”

Yeah, let’s get Patrick Fitzgerald right on it. He’ll indict Kenneth Gladney for perjury.

For a person who had the endorsement of HAMAS, people doing call banks for him Gaza, fake givers in small amounts to his “campaign” and a disciple of Alinsky...I can tell you this:

A LOT OF WHAT HUSSEIN DOES IS ILLEGAL.

Well now wait a minute...what’s that legal group Mark Levin’s the head of? I’m thinking somebody, maybe that group, will file a lawsuit about this.

Problem is lawsuits take a while but I don’t think that stupid stunt is just going to disappear into the etherworld.

Give it time. There’s ways to fight back. This isn’t going to stand you wait and see.
