BUMP! :) For a terrific thread.
When has a president’s citizenship ever been questioned before?
I recall seeing NBC on inauguration day, and either Brian Williams or Tom Brokaw oddly mentioned “In 6 minutes from now, any question of Obama’s citizenship is finally closed. Once he takes the office, he is an American citizen.” Now why would they even say such a thing? Nor is it a true statement.
Hoping this certificate proves as valid as it appears to be, and finally forces some transparency.
He’s gone!!!
Yes but it will have to wait till later today. Just got a new printer/scanner/fax and am setting it up today but can’t do it till later. Current machine is whacked.
New here - how do I let you know when they are posted? Also is there a place on the site that explains things like that and pings and bumps, etc.? Didn’t see one in the Welcome pages.
Thank you.

I think what PA Engineer has is better than what I have. Any reason to still want to see my less well-ID’d (and less relevant) stamps and album page? To see his post, scroll down some from your post to me and look for the stamp images.
PA Engineer -
I bookmarked your site for a longer visit later. Looks like you’re a real collector!
Free Republic is very good at analyzing documents.
If I’m not mistaken, Rathergate was exposed at least in part by people here working in a manner similar to this thread.
A jpg of what appears to be a piece of paper, supposedly a Kenyan document from 1964, comes along, and the collective analytical power of Free Republic is applied to the task. And well.
We’re doing a pretty good job here. I think right now, the consensus is “we don’t know, and we’d really like to see some verified documents from Mombasa in Kenya from February 1964”
I posted this sometime last night to another thread:
I once was a Director of a British PLC company and learned quite a bit about their bureaucratic and idiosyncratic ways.
Virtually every Brit I worked with used their first two initials and then their last name as their business name. Therefore, the E.F. Lavender and the M.H. Miller are EXACTLY the way the Brits sign their name or refer to themselves in business correspondence. They would never sign it EF Lavender or M. Miller or M H Miller or Eric F. Lavender.
The spacing and punctuation are EXACTLY CORRECT, based on my experience.
This is one of the first things I looked for to see if it was a fake. Maybe ask Snugs for verification?
That's where I feel we're at too. :)
*whimper*
Good find.....the only problem is that it states “President elect”. It seems to apply before the President is sworn in.
Rock on Sal!
Start showing links to news articles published in 1964 that say “dominion of kenya”. We’ve shown links to news articles published in 1964 that say “republic of kenya”.
You claim to know how major newspapers were referring to Kenya in 1964. Show the links. I’d assume that most newspapers would simply say “Kenya” as opposed to “Republic of Kenya”, just to make things simpler. That doesn’t prove the name isn’t actually “Republic of Kenya”. But you’re here fighting with the majority, it might help your case if you provided good links. A news article, from 1964, with “Dominion of Kenya” would help.
Very strange. Looks like this is copy of the record of birth. ie someone in 1964 requested this.
Which raises the question as to whom and why this document was requested.
One can assume that this was in possession of a family memeber.
Regardless, I don’t think that this can be discarded.
Funny too, that our usual goofy tabloids aren’t picking up on this.
My take on this is that it’s a forgery. There was another one posted here also. Has anyone compared the two?
One question. Where did this thing come from. Hillary?
Where did this document come from the sky?
There is much on here that could be disprove almost immediately were it a fake.
There are names of people, signature, place of birth, there’s a record of the birth and that it was recorded and where it was recorded.
It would be very easy to disprove, therefore one has to wonder if this document is true.
But, the first test is the provenance. Where did come from. Does anyone say? Did someone get into the divorce records in Hawaii and release it?
I’m thinking maybe Mossad....
