The entire birther argument, that Obama was actually born in Kenya instead of the US, making him ineligible for holding the office of the President of the US, is a spurious argument. It plays into Obama and the liberals hands - they want this to continue since it makes regular conservatives and opponents into fringe wackos.
Not one of us would've looked harder at his legitimacy than Hilary Clinton and the entire Clinton smear machine during the Democratic primaries. That magic bullet would've given Hilary the presidency - and yet nada, bupkis.
There are many valid reasons to oppose Obama and the liberals, but his birthplace isn't one of them.
Sorry, Saquin - you’re the one who is wrong, or at least misinterpreting Hawaii’s publicly released documentation. Such COLB’s which were first created in 2001, forty years after 0bama was born, are made available by the State of Hawaii referencing a city in Hawaii for children born offshore to US citizens, if requested. This has been already well established in other cases, and as much has been admitted by the State of Hawaii itself, which of course invalidates that document as any sort of proof regarding where 0bama was actually born.
Because even at its best, it doesn't answer the key questions.
Not if those in power behind the scenes tell her ‘no’. If something was leaked, they would know it was her. Her political career is too important to her - they made her and can break her. Yeah, SOS had to eat some humble pie. Besides, there was no guarantee she would have won even w/a leak. She played it safe, IMO.
The "source" cited doesn't back up your claim that both parents need to be citizens. Maybe YOU should read it again? Or find a real source to back up your claim? It shouldn't be that hard. You said it's been posted everywhere, right?

How come Hawaii itself has never directly released the Obama short form if it is so helpful?

Asking for documentation for an important claim like this is "lame"? I guess if you can't provide the documentation, it makes you feel better to claim the request for such is "lame".
I read your "source" and found no documentation in it that both parents need to be citizens in order for one to be "natural born". Why don't you help me out and point me to that section?

Why not? It’s good advise. You have a state of Hawaii official putting their credibility on the line saying POINT BLANK that Obama’s birth records show him as born in Honolulu.
This official statement backs up a published COLB that showed his Certification of Live Birth, 2 newspaper announcements in Honolulu papers in Aug 1961, family recollections, common sense (since Honolulu was where Stanley and Barack Sr were living), and Barack’s own official bio. ... accepting this fact as ‘fact’ in no way makes you roll over and play dead. It just tells you to stop chasing a dead rabbit trail.
Maybe Obama is hiding something, but it sure isn’t his place of birth.

I’ve never seen a source proving natural born status requires two citizen parents posted on FR, or anywhere for that matter. At least not one that was actually U.S. law.

The newspaper in Honolulu only printed what someone on the telephone told them. They didn’t know from Kenya or even Frank Davis. Nor would they have been interested in verifying the address.
