Dear Freepers, Don't Back a Losing Argument: Just Accept the Fact Obama was born in Hawaii (Vanity)
Self ^ | July 30, 2009 | Edward Watson

Posted on 07/30/2009 8:35:25 PM PDT by Edward Watson

The entire birther argument, that Obama was actually born in Kenya instead of the US, making him ineligible for holding the office of the President of the US, is a spurious argument. It plays into Obama and the liberals hands - they want this to continue since it makes regular conservatives and opponents into fringe wackos.

Not one of us would've looked harder at his legitimacy than Hilary Clinton and the entire Clinton smear machine during the Democratic primaries. That magic bullet would've given Hilary the presidency - and yet nada, bupkis.

There are many valid reasons to oppose Obama and the liberals, but his birthplace isn't one of them.

Produce the documents that he wasn’t born in Hawaii.

The burden of proof that required credentials are real is on the job applicant, not on the employer.

He should have released all this as a matter of propriety (as Kerry should have released all his military records) but he is not legally required to do so.

At this point it is moot, he is President. These were indications as to his future performance as President. Now we know what he is like as President.

Just produce the documents.

They have been produced. The Certification of Live Birth provided by the State of Hawaii states his place of birth as "Honolulu" at 7:24pm on August 4, 1961 and this has been corroborated as correct by Hawaii officials. Again, is it your assertion that they have produced a false document for Obama and are backing it up by lying about it?

You wear kneepads or have you built up enough calluses to go without?

I see I've gotten under your skin. :-)

Excellent.

Its not a neutral word, its a made up word...Check your dictionary and see if you can find such a word...Like the word homophobe, made up by the left for their own vocabulary.

You want to know what to call "them" if not birthers...How about Americans that have questions about the legit. of Obama's right to be president... You can use the lefts vocabulary all you want, its just as stupid a word as homophobe..

“And still, the main documentation that will settle this critical constitutional matter remains sealed. “

The main documentation, it’s out there. The COLB ...

plus this ...
“I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen,” Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino

... validates that Obama was indeed born in Hawaii and so closes the Constitutional related question.

The other questions about Obama’s past are not eligibility related.

Well the Anti-Global-Warming (AGW) derision by the Establishment (to bring back a political term from the Reformation era) is similar in many dynamics and cohort of persons on each side.

And so too is the Intelligent Design (ID) debate -- in fact, I find a very strong correlation between those who deride ID and those who deride Birthers.

I find the underlying driving psychology for anti-birtherism is an extreme discomfort to and intolerance to the idea that the Establishment could fail so massively.

Whereas in the other two I recognize that same reactionary uproar to the idea in a massive failure of the Establishment is the major dynamic for most people - but in those two there is a potent minority driven by a different dynamic -- atheism! Denial of G-d.

That implies that there is also a potent minority dynamic in the anti-Birther movement too. Of course it is so!

And that motive is very similar -- it is to make man god or god-like. To make a Supreme Godhead-like Leader. In instant case: Obama.

Interesting stuff!

He was flown to Hawaii from Kenya when 3 days old and hasn't been naturalized as a citizen therefore he's an illegal alien that should be deported!

Source?

Sorry, but you're wrong. Neither 0bama, nor KOS, nor the State of Hawaii has produced any documentation that establishes that he was born on US soil. In fact, the State of Hawaii explicitly refuses to release any relevant information it may have on the matter.

If you prefer to believe that 0bama was born in the US, fine. Just be sure to respect the opinions of those who require a higher, reasonable standard of proof than yourself.

Thanks. I read that when it first came out and walked away more confused than ever. Some people even took it as a signal from her that there IS no long form BC on file, simply because she didn’t mention it. Weird.

Alan Keyes is one of our greatest living Americans

No, he isn't. He is a joke. He is a pathetic wannabe who can't even get nominated as the Constipation party candidate. He is as relevant as whale oil, and as needed as the Edsel. He is as popular as New Coke and and as popular as the XFL. As Monty Python would say "He is an ex-parrot"

And, boy that NWO, sure were smart to announce his birth in the paper back in 1961. I bet they had a time machine, and they did it that way!

The newspaper announcement you refer to doesn't say where he was born, just that he was born. That is not in dispute. I've seen him and he was most definitely born.

Do you think you could get any government job by providing a newspaper clipping?

Wrong. The documentation produced by Hawaii, and verified as correct by them, definitively states his place of birth as "Honolulu", which is on US soil.

Because lots of Dems are dumb and shameless.

People inclined to vote Republican tend to have more delicate sensibilities (for better or worse), most notably a sense of shame. Its easier to keep Republicans home, which is why most elections truly hinge on Republican turnout.

Is this unfair ? Well, so it is. Thats life.

The burden of proof that required credentials are real is on the job applicant, not on the employer.

Burden of proof is on the birthers, and just like the truthers, they have no proof, just a bunch of theories. Prove your assertion, don't ask others to disprove you, you sound like a moon hoaxer.

will never happen again

It's too late for that - it's now or never. Your vanity thread pleads for conservatives to accept the 'fact' BO was born in HI and then you say I’m certain measures will be taken to make sure a Manchurian Candidate like Obama will never happen again.

So what's with that? You come on a conservative site pleading w/conservatives to roll over, play dead and accept the biggest con job pulled on USA?
