Hadrosaur Soft Tissues Another Blow to Long-Ages Myth
by Brian Thomas, M.S.*
Recently-discovered dinosaur soft tissues, and even blood cells, represent some of the biggest hurdles for long-age evolutionary belief. Soft tissue was found in the femur of a large Tyrannosaurus rex about a decade ago, and more was discovered in another T. rex a few years later. And recently, soft tissues with proteins were found in a hadrosaur from Montana...

“Rocks and sediment layers are not dated by the fossilized specimens found within them.”
So how’d they get there?
Its still all proportional.
Here you go, your very own Geocentric Creationist. Try getting him to explain what force moves the Sun around the Earth and all you will get is gibberish about frames of reference.
I haven't seen him on the Religion threads in a long time, but GourmetDan is a real life modern day Geocentrist.
“Not until I started reading Science threads on Free Republic and interacted with the Creationists therein, I hadn’t thought it possible that anyone could be so foolish; but the FR-Crevos constantly amaze!”
I dropped in on DC a time or two and took a peek... don’t give me that bull.
Those (you’se) guys are nuts... unshelled!
Look Who’s Irrational Now
What Americans Really Believe, a comprehensive new study released by Baylor University yesterday, shows that traditional Christian religion greatly decreases belief in everything from the efficacy of palm readers to the usefulness of astrology .
While 31% of people who never worship expressed strong belief in [the paranormal], only 8% of people who attend a house of worship more than once a week did.”

Don't forget coordinate systems.
==There again is the assumption that because circular reason can be use, then that is in fact what was used.
Circular reason is used...and on a regular basis. Read the following:

Among Creationists who accept evolution, how many believe UFO’s are from God or the Devil, in Astrology, in Tarot cards, Palm reading?
How many believe the Sun circles the Earth?
How many think the Flintstones was a realistic depiction?
How many have to invent pseudo-Suns to explain how there was morning and evenings in days without a Sun?
Yes, I have a coordinate system under the hood of my car. It gets about 45 mpg and a couple hundred horse power.
Very good at moving objects, those coordinate systems.
;)
i always assumed YECers were an interweb myth.
==Among Creationists who accept evolution
Oh, so now you’re an evolutionary creationist?
==How many have to invent pseudo-Suns to explain how there was morning and evenings in days without a Sun?
I didn’t invent a pseudo-sun. God said let there be light after the Earth was created, and before the Sun was created. God also says there was evening and there was morning three times before the Sun was created. Oh ye of little faith!
Maybe later. For the moment it’s just noteworthy that you don’t provide examples of what’s depicted in your cartoons.
How so? What methodology are they basing their proportions on that they haven't rejected if used by someone else?
Can we formulate physical laws so that they are valid for all CS [coordinate systems], not only those moving uniformly, but also those moving quite arbitrarily, relative to each other? [ ] The struggle, so violent in the early days of science, between the views of Ptolemy and Copernicus would then be quite meaningless. Either CS could be used with equal justification. The two sentences: the sun is at rest and the earth moves or the sun moves and the earth is at rest would simply mean two different conventions concerning two different CS.
Einstein, A. and Infeld, L. (1938) The Evolution of Physics, p.212 (p.248 in original 1938 ed.); Note: CS = coordinate system
The relation of the two pictures [geocentricity and heliocentricity] is reduced to a mere coordinate transformation and it is the main tenet of the Einstein theory that any two ways of looking at the world which are related to each other by a coordinate transformation are entirely equivalent from a physical point of view.... Today we cannot say that the Copernican theory is right and the Ptolemaic theory wrong in any meaningful physical sense.
Hoyle, Fred. Nicolaus Copernicus. London: Heinemann Educational Books Ltd., 1973.
"...Thus we may return to Ptolemy's point of view of a 'motionless earth'...One has to show that the transformed metric can be regarded as produced according to Einstein's field equations, by distant rotating masses. This has been done by Thirring. He calculated a field due to a rotating, hollow, thick-walled sphere and proved that inside the cavity it behaved as though there were centrifugal and other inertial forces usually attributed to absolute space. Thus from Einstein's point of view, Ptolemy and Copernicus are equally right."
Born, Max. "Einstein's Theory of Relativity",Dover Publications,1962, pgs 344 & 345:
"People need to be aware that there is a range of models that could explain the observations, Ellis argues. For instance, I can construct you a spherically symmetrical universe with Earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations. Ellis has published a paper on this. You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds. In my view there is absolutely nothing wrong in that. What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. A lot of cosmology tries to hide that.

“Maybe later. For the moment its just noteworthy that you dont provide examples of whats depicted in your cartoons.”
And moreso noteworthyis the point that you pretend to seek the truth yet refuse to investigate further than your evo-supportive propaganda. Anything else is too corrupted by those silly Bible-thumpers, huh?
“The simplest explanation for the presence of blood vessels and their proteins in these bones is that the dinosaurs were recently and rapidly inundated and preserved, just as one would expect to observe in a world that began thousands rather than millions of years ago.”
This guy is a dumbass. Does ANYONE know exactly how long the 5 1/2 days before the creation of Adam were? Anyone who agrees with him should read a book called “Genesis and the Big Bang” by Gerald Schroeder. Schroeder is both an astro-physicist (foot planted firmly in the scientific world) and an Orthodox Jew (other foot planted firmly in the traditional religious world). He cites Talmudic texts (analyses of the Torah, the 5 books of Moses by legendary rabbinical authorities over the course of hundreds of years) showing the age of the universe at over 14 billion years - not 5,770 or anything absurd like that. There is NO contradiction between science and religion on the Creation itself, nor on the order in which it unfolded - but only someone with his feet firmly planted in both worlds could really understand that.
I am a believing Jew - but the idea that the world is a few thousand years old is in complete contradiction to the senses and the mind that G-d gave to us to study His creation and His laws. Carbon 14 tests prove that three were people and life existed substantially earlier than 10,000 years ago - and none of the cave paintings showed dinosaurs, only Mastadons, Aurochs and the like. What, G-d is a practical joker, He gets His jollies by fooling the ignorant little hairless apes on a tiny little dustball called Earth? Puhleeze.
Oh, by the way, Schroeder does not accept Darwinian macro evolution - he simply thinks (and shows) that the theory has too many holes, that there simply hasn’t been enough time to account for the alleged changes in animals - but he nonetheless is a big believer in the validity of scientific tests. Both worlds, science and religion, can and should co-exist, and adherents of both should come to the realization that the other is not their rival.
