Call to action: Conservative FReeper PAC?
Feb 12, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 02/12/2009 12:35:04 PM PST by Jim Robinson

This may be a topic for our regional FReeper conventions coming up, but how many of you would be interested in forming an official conservative FReeper PAC for raising funds to help replace Dems and RINOs and to get conservatives elected?

There is a new thread about Support of the Fairness Doctrine Builds.

We should be organizing now, getting a message to use when calling, faxing or visiting our representatives. There is a petition, but more needs to be done. We can't wait till two days before the vote when most congressman and senators have already been promised a quid pro quo pork.

Makes two of us.

We could have used a lot more FReepers in D.C. on Monday and Tuesday to protest the Porkulus Bill.

Of course a big part of the problem is protesting too late in the game.

Just PLEASE Crappie, contact the people we know on the OTHER forum, who all lean our way (conservative). You know their fundraising skills as well as I do. We can do a “Rolling on the River,” but change the title to “Roll Obama, gun grabbers, the Dems, and RINO traitors Down the River” theme.

We have plenty of deer meat to grill on my firepit, so we can feed everybody. Maybe we can do a gun swap and sell, a miniature gun show (just kidding).

I can get a few boats and guides together, and we can have a “Free America” fishing tournament, and I can finally show Grammy and billhilly who really knows how to fish. $10 entry fee.

BTW, I talked to the owner of a huge resort/marina here the other day, and was invited to a “Hoedown” there. It’s going to be at held in May at the marina. Two conservative talk show hosts will be broadcasting LIVE from there, including Hallerin Hill (sp) and the another pretty noted conservative broadcaster.

I’ll call the owner of the resort tomorrow and see if we can arrange something. He obviously is a dedicated conservative. Crappie, I’ve been talking to him about hosting another group we are familiar with, and he is receptive.

Diana, all, this can be done on a small grassroots level at every shooting, gun, hunting, fishing club. Heck, I’m serious about the plant and bake sale.

Gardengirl, I am going to town tomorrow and will mail your flower seeds.

Crappie, if you’ll help me out with this (and I know your networking skills) I’ll write the danged article for you (LOL). Heck, I’ll sell it for you!!!

Everybody hit your ping lists and let’s just TRY it.

I think I have access to a lot of camping types that would be willing to take you up on this.

Do you have some good fishing opportunities nearby?

Trooprally,

I, and all freepers, appreciate your efforts, and all those freepers who are able to go to D.C. and have a presence there.

I attended the first GOE march in D.C. It cost me a lot of money to travel from Tennessee to D.C for this.

Most freepers are hard working (were anyway, before the jobs disappeared), average Americans. It costs a lot of money to travel great distances.

I know this has been discussed before, and many of us (including ME) didn’t act on it. We need local, grassroots efforts to organize and get our message out close to home, where our goal is attainable.

People scoff at the “community organizer” concept that swept Obama into power. But it apparently works.

Every one of those moneychangers in D.C. is elected in a district in some place in hometown USA.

We could probably smack ‘em harder here at home than in D.C.

I’m in too. But with a reservation. Anyone have an idea if linking up with an established national conservative PAC might give us a bigger bang for the collective buck? It might be a case of we can do together what each smaller group is unable to do alone. ???
