Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois today exhorted his supporters to get extremely aggressive in their communities to persuade their neighbors to vote for Obama in November.
Speaking to a crowd in Elko, Nevada, Obama was quoted by the AP as urging the people to be his 'ambassadors':
"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.
"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."
Obama has campaigned as a uniter. One can't help but wonder how neighbors will react to people getting up in their faces arguing to them to vote for Obama and how many friendships will be ruined by Obama this fall.
We need to clean out capitol hill.

He can scream to high heaven...it ain’t gonna work. This election has been the most down and dirty one in history and will make history when Obama is defeated....AFTER all that is going on that should sway his way, and a woman reformer with a maverick war hero take the election. America won’t vote in Obama....too radical, too liberal and too mean of a wife.

It doesn’t take much encouragement from their leader. Ugliness is about to reach the next level.
In a historic context, the ancient Roman Republic — Marius and Sullah. The mob of Marius ran Sullah off the streets. Sullah became so furious he tricked the military into a coup.
Good point, but the tactic is to put the ‘chill’ into McCain support. Alinksi taught his followers to intimidate people into a feeling of isolation, a fear to ‘speak up’.
His words sound harmless on the face, but BO’s minions will take his words to extremes like they always do. People will fear putting up yard signs, bumper stickers, etc. He seeks regional domination at the grass roots. Entire neighborhoods can be dominated by a handfull.
If getting in their face fails, riot? What an ego driven commie!
Obama is to “viable” to give up so easy.
He has the ability to come back even in 20 years and still be viable.
He would do what Kerry did in 2004 on the notion of coming back later.

I already heard one BO supporter wandering around a parking lot, shouting his head off. He sounded so crazy that no one dared get near him [including me— I’m not in the best of health any more]. Another was playing that Ludicrous rap tune at deafening volume, cruising around the Wal-Mart parking lot. That was before he encouraged them.

Great! I can not think of any site that would more insure a McCain/Palin Victory. A bunch of distasteful thugs, pushing their obnoxious music on you, and acting like punks at Wal-mart.. yeah not a good campaign message.
