MOSCOW (AP) A news agency says the Russian navy has deployed ships to blockade Georgia's Black Sea coast.
The Interfax news agency says the Moskva missile cruiser and other Russian Black Sea Fleet ships have been deployed to Georgia's coast to prevent any weapons supplies.
A Russian navy spokesman refused to comment on the report Sunday.

“Russia Prepares for Naval Blockade of Georgia”
That tells me they’re not going to stop with just South Ossetia... they want all of Georgia.
The Ukraine has been trying to get the Russians to remove their Black Sea Fleet from their port for a while - Russia is willing to risk losing that port because they think they will be getting the Georgian facilities.
This isn’t going to end well.

“Russian warplanes target Georgia”
And the USA is virtually bankrupt. It'd be insane to spend a dime fighting Russia, even the EU, with their legs wide open and exposed to this, isn't going to lift a finger to help us.
The socialist in the EU are in for a real taste of the tyranny they have flirted with for so long.

Good point. I remember some of their jokes about our love of a powerful military. Now the dollar is shooting back up, and any currency near Russia is in danger of dropping. If Europe had supported us more in the war on terror, we would have been in a stronger position to help them right now. Not to mention, we would have been grateful.
Yeah, it’s tempting to sit back and do nothing. I do hope, however, that we can prevent a new evil empire.
Perfect argument for gun rights. Every Ukrainian, Georgian, Pole, Estonian, Lithuanian and Latvian should have a gun at home. The Russians are coming.
I hope the Georgian military has anti-ship missiles in their inventory.
I mean, considering that even North Korea has a supply, you’d think places like Georgia - that aren’t hellholes on earth, would have a stockpile.
Either that, or their version of SEALs, capable of heading over to the Russian ships with a limpet mine strapped on their back.
War with Russia is the last thing we need but something must be done.
This has to be the fastest “surpise” mobilization and deployment of any military I’ve ever seen. You don’t think Putin had everything gassed up & ready to go, and it all to start on a certain day like say the start of the olympics so the world and its press would be concentrating on something else, did yahh?
Nahh, its all a big coincidence. Russia is peace loving country who always respects its neighbors sovereignty.
Gun rights for Georgia? Well, they better hurry.
Scr** it. Let’s bomb their ships.
OK they can have Georgia, but if they come after Alabama then Look out.
When Russia first invaded Afghanistan, it was a quick mobilization then too. Of course, I don’t expect Georgians to put up that kind of fight.
