Just spoke to her staff..she is still there on the house floor:)
I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
If you get a chance this weekend, the Friday Hannity and Levin shows are worth hearing. BTW, Levin interviewed the author of "Obama Nation" tonight [Jeromy Corsi]-- double header on his show. Also ...
Aug 1, 2008 ... Mitch McConnell nails the democrats on drilling.
ROFL!
You are everywhere!
>Good for the Republicans! At last! Some backbone! I hope this is the start of something good!<
I caught a few minutes of CSPAN before I wandered off to work.
Phil Gringey? I can’t remember his name was excellent.
He tore Nancy up.
It was a beautiful thing to behold.
And so it was in that day. LOLOL
Boo!
:)
EEK!
:D
Back when the Republicans were in control, anyone could stay up late making speeches. I once heard someone say, “When you turn on C-Span at odd hours, you hear the strangest things.” Not only did Hayworth and Rorabacher stay up late, so did many lefties— including Sanders. When I was able to hear Laura Ingraham, she had a regular lampoon of what she called ‘the Three Stooges’— three lefties who made such lampooning quite easy [back when Hastert was Speaker].
Hannity keeps running how Pelosi promised sweetness and light if she were Speaker. Ha!
86,288 x $5 =$431,440.
Five dollars for each lurker/poster.
Tink about it. TINK woman, just tink.
Back to BOO! mode! :)
the media picking up the story was slow, but I think it got a good bit of coverage on Fox late in the day and will spread. Don’t think it was a waste of time .. by a long shot .. if nothing else, the base is a lot happier today than it was yesterday. And it has been one moribund base!
I’m a tinkin’!!!
I’m a $1-a-day gal meself! :D
I know that! And I say “THANK you”! :)
*grin*
Today...reading this thread...made it all worthwhile!
ditto (seems appropriate?)
will “see you again” shortly at the Dose.
lol
This could get interesting, because I think the rule is that network cameras are not allowed on the floor WHILE THE HOUSE IS IN SESSION. The networks get their footage from CSPAN. If Bela Pelosi gaveled the House into adjournment, and turned off the CSPAN cameras, that rule may not apply.
Even better, why don't any of the House members get their OWN video cameras in there, and upload the videos onto You Tube. Forget the cell phone cameras; get some GOOD equipment in there!
It did, didn’t it?
Until they closed up shop at 5:00....just THINK of all that could’ve happened this weekend...WHOOOOOOOOOOO boy.
Calling Queen P’s offices was sure fun! :)
Of course it was.
But if I said that, your head would get too big. ;)
“Mike Pence speaking. He’s firing people up. His message. Hill isn’t in revolt, this is democracy at work. We’re looking for solutions.”
Mark Levin had Mike Pence on his show today. He was good, as usual.
“The Republicans ordered lights, mics and cameras off?”
No. I guess Pelosi did.
Watching this event this afternoon was a wonderful thing. By evening, it was apparent that someone wanted to put the kabosh on it newswise. However, if you heard the commotion when the gavel went down and then the representatives. THey had to smuggle video and sound bites out. Reporters were not permitted in.
Then, the Senate Gang of 10 giggling with glee that they had put something together, working with each party. When interviewed, they giggled. THey knew they had hit one out of the park. The lot of them.
I was proud of them. Had they kept on speaking at the Congress, I would have packed & racked and hauled my sorry keester over to stand up for those who ACTUALLY do their jobs in DC.
And you can tell ‘em I said so.
Your research may be better than mine, recently.
It was 500 million for a good while then 200 million. I haven’t read a lower figure, myself.
What have you read?
Thanks much.
