House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
That is similar to what their breaking news desk told me. I said to just get in there and cover it ANY WAY even WITHOUT THE CAMERAS. Heavens! This is news.

The Republicans are now continuing to discuss energy solutions while in the Democrat forced darkness. Pelosi and fellow democrats have gone on vacation.

I got through to Rep. Pence’s office. A very nice gentleman chuckled when I told him that the FReepers want to send pizza in. He put me on hold to ask permission and get me a delivery phone number.
Pitifully, he said that he did not want us wasting our money because they would not let the delivery guys in. BUT thanked everyone for their support!!!!
I’m in for a pizza tomorrow if they’re still there. We’ll keep sending in the supplies as long as they keep this up.

Not so. DC is all about show. The Pubs should bring in candles and keep on talking. The candles will represent the Demorat energy plan. Record all comments and then put it in the extended remarks section of the Congressional Record as the extended session sans Demorats. At some point the media will have to cover this.
Get used to the lights being out...that will be a key part of Obama’s Energy Plan should he take office.
