Two schoolboys were given detention after refusing to kneel down and ‘pray to Allah’ during a religious education lesson.
Parents were outraged that the two boys from year seven (11 to 12-year-olds) were punished for not wanting to take part in the practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped.
They said forcing their children to take part in the exercise at Alsager High School, near Stoke-on-Trent - which included wearing Muslim headgear - was a breach of their human rights.
One parent, Sharon Luinen, said: “This isn’t right, it’s taking things too far.
“I understand that they have to learn about other religions. I can live with that but it is taking it a step too far to be punished because they wouldn’t join in Muslim prayer.
“Making them pray to Allah, who isn’t who they worship, is wrong and what got me is that they were told they were being disrespectful.

“Then two boys got detention and all the other children missed their refreshment break because of the teacher.
“Not only was it forced upon them, my daughter was told off for not doing it right.
“They’d never done it before and they were supposed to do it in another language.”
“My child has been forced to pray to Allah in a school lesson.” The grandfather of one of the pupils in the class said: “It’s absolutely disgusting, there’s no other way of putting it.
“My daughter and a lot of other mothers are furious about their children being made to kneel on the floor and pray to Islam. If they didn’t do it they were given detention.

The plan was scuttled, however, because of the fear of killing muslims and the cell had begun planning operations in Jakarta, where the likelihood of killing foreigners and non-muslims would be greater.
Members of the cell were also involved in a 2005 plot to assassinate a Christian pastor, Father Joshua, in Bandung.
The leader of the cell is believed to be a 35 year old Singaporean English teacher of Pakistani heritage named Mohammed Hassan (alias Omar, alias Fajar, alias Alim, alias Taslim, alias Abu Hazam) who was already wanted by Singaporean authorities. Hassan, Kompas reports, was a protege of JI bombmaker Dr. Azahari and had also trained with al-Qaida in Afghanistan. He is alleged to have also met with Usama bin Laden on several occasions.”
Hassan is believed to have run to South Sumatra with Mas Slamet Kastari. Kastari, an Indonesian national who served as the head of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) in Singapore, disappeared after a daring prison escape in February. “It’s true,” an Indonesian police source told the Batam Pos. “He is now here. I can assure you that we are hunting for him in every corner now.”

Ramadi, Fallujah SWAT capture three suspected AQI cell members near Fallujah
Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO
BALAD, Iraq – Ramadi and Fallujah Special Weapons and Tactics teams captured three suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorists near Fallujah, July 2.
The two SWAT units conducted a joint operation to capture key AQI facilitators suspected of providing vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices to criminal groups.
Two of the suspects are accused of facilitating the VBIEDs, and the other suspect is accused of making the VBIEDs.
The Iraqi SWAT teams planned the operation using the Government of Iraq’s judicial system to obtain arrest warrants for these individuals based on evidence they gathered.
“This operation was exceptional training for these law enforcement units to develop the long-term skills they need to effectively promote the Government of Iraq’s rule of law,” said Ltc Neil Harper, a spokesperson for Multi-National Corps – Iraq.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “OTTAWA - Immediately after Momin Khawaja left London in 2004, his alleged co-conspirators in a terrorism plot were recorded by British Security Services having a long conversation about the best way to carry out jihad in England - including plotting to blow up one of London’s most famous nightclubs.
Omar Khyam, who was later convicted for his role in a foiled fertilizer-bomb plot, visited Jawad Akbar the evening of Feb. 22, 2004, hours after he dropped Khawaja off at London’s Heathrow Airport. British security services recorded the conversation as part of their extensive surveillance of the men, dubbed Operation Crevice.
The audio recordings were played in court Friday at Khawaja’s terror trial. The Ottawa man has pleaded not guilty to seven terrorism charges related to a foiled 2004 London bomb plot.

During the recorded conversations, Akbar told Khyam he thinks the years of planning that went into the Sept. 11, 2001 attack were essentially ineffectual, because society has desensitized people to death and the attack was quickly forgotten.”

Japan, US to start joint cargo screening against nuclear terrorism
Snippets: Japan and the United States on Thursday announced a joint project to screen nuclear and other radioactive materials on cargo vessels as a measure to prevent nuclear terrorism.
The Megaports Initiative commits the two governments to set up the screening project at Japan's central Yokohama port to thwart nuclear proliferation.

Police informant Mubin Shaikh said Thursday that he was “nobody's shill.” Two weeks earlier, the Crown pounced on him at the trial of a youth on terrorism charges for contradicting statements he had made at a previous hearing. His warning to prosecutors came outside a Toronto court minutes after he pleaded guilty to threatening a pair of 12-year-old girls in April, 2007, in his Etobicoke neighbourhood.
Mr. Shaikh, a devout Muslim who was paid $300,000 by the RCMP to infiltrate an alleged terrorist cell, said a group of preteens had “swarmed” his two children, and when the group did not back off at his request, ...... Mr. Shaikh pleaded guilty to telling the girls, “Do you know who I am? I'm going to chop off your legs!”

OPINION: Generally speaking, I agree with the expert. For the most part jihadis have deliberately set on to a course of jihad.
