Like I’ve said before, voting for McCain is like voting for a diet democrat, but when I look at the alternatives...
Vote for Clinton or Obama - That’s almost funny. Not gonna happen.
Vote 3rd party - Which cannot win and just increases the odds that Clinton or Obama will win. Not very smart.
Don’t vote - This is the worse of the options. Anyone who does not vote has absolutely no right to complain about their government IMHO. It is the only opportunity you have to directly effect the government you have.
So that being said. I would vote diet democrat..er..I mean McCain. Lesser of the Evils kind of thing.

7)Works with, and is more respectful of members of the UnAmerican Democrat Party, more than his own party.
8)Flirted with John Kerry during the 2004 election, was considering running as his VP.
9)Trashes a Patriot like Rumsfeld for good press and liberal votes.

I certainly not impressed with the field of Repubs. I was hopeful with Thompson but he is so low key he comes off as not caring. He hasn’t been on enough interviews like on Fox to get a grip on him. He seems so quiet during the debates. I like McCain on the terrorist issue but I worry about his instability and hate his immigration stand (was going to say “stance” but decided against it)!! I guess there just isn’t another Reagan out there.

Absolutely! Would you want the First Man back in the White House grooping young interns!

I detest McFlame, but I’d vote for him or Charles Manson before I’d vote for the Hildebeast. She is PURE evil.

Papasmurf,
Your tagline says how I will feel and what I will do too.
Someone should send a link of this thread to the RNC.
If like in Congress every phone call equates to 100 people feeling the same way, let us say for every post 100 conservatives feel the same way. If 1/3 of this thread says no they have pissed off 100,000....
Ouch, that is what it took to win Ohio in 04'.....

I’m with you regarding McCain and the borders. How ridiculous is it that he is still in the running when the Republican base despises HIS amnesty proposal? That said . . . better than Hillary.

I’m voting for Hunter even if it means writing his name in. My days of holding my nose and voting for someone who is least repugnant are over.

3) or 4) depending upon the choices. I would, however, still vote in all other races where I have a choice I can support.

I don’t see him going all the way and my first inclination is to say, “hell no”. As stated so many times, he has done more to hurt the Republican party then any other. Also, I guess is was more then a rumor that he was flirting with Kerry as a VP in ‘04.
But if it was McCain and Hillary, I would probably hold my nose, squint my eyes and vote for him.

how trustworthy on national defense can he be when he supports open borders? Sure, hes better than anyone the dems have, but I question anyone who cant see the contradiction between successfully protecting our country and allowing (encouraging) anyone and everyone to subvert the rule of law by rewarding illegal behavior.
Right.
Don't vote for McCain and expect him to be anything difference. He won't be. Amensty John will continue to be Amnesty John, and he will do nothing to control the invasion of illegals.
Add that to his assault on the First Amendment with his CFR.
John McCain is untrustworthy. He denies ever supporting amnesty. Apparently, he didn't read his own McCain-Kennedy Comprehensive Immigration Act which provided almost-automatic z-visas to just about anyone who wanted on.
Any who advocate holding their noises and voting for McCain (or any of the other candidates) deserves what they vote for. That's how we got that massive illegal immigration mess we have now.
