Youre a freak. You shouldnt be allowed to vote.LOL!!...
Seems you don't even adhere to your own stated beliefs from your FR page, here's a sample....
"To treat adequately, fairly, or with full appreciation"
Kinda RINO'ish...IMO.

Thanks for the response Ari. I think a lot of people would agree with you regarding Bush vs Reagan. I am not one of them. I do not see Bush as another Reagan. I don’t see him as anything remotely close to Reagan. As far as I am concerned, it’s quite an insult to Reagan to attempt to lump this guy in with him. I do appreciate your alternate opinion though. Take care.

I have to agree on the subject of Iran. North Korea and Iran are going to be two very problematic hand-offs from Bush. That is not a good thing.

If someone else I know is whining about our next president and they didnt vote, I can tell them to shut up. They didnt earn that right.ummmm, that means we were smart enough not to vote for a rino in the first place and have every right to bitch. Those voting for a rino will get what they voted for - a rino, therefore they have no right to complain that a rino is in the WH. If a dem wins, blame the GOP for offering up rinos instead of conservatives to vote for.

It puts the Republican Party leadership and membership on notice, that people who should have registered as a Democrat will not be electable as a Republican. Get those folks to register as a democrat and it will help this nation move more toward the right.
The democrat party will have at least some half-sane folks in it’s ranks and the Republican party can go back to standing for what conservatism truly is.

Doughty, is Harriet Meyers Chief Justice? That would be a No. Why? Because we had someone in the White House that at least listened when his party went ballistic. Do you think you will get the same consideration from a Clinton or Obama?
Well that's one way of looking at it. Do you really think Bush listens to us? Think about between 20 and 40 million illegal aliens and a border wide open. Tell me again how he listens to us.
Bush gave up on Meyers for one reason. She would never have been approved. He didn't have a choice.
My biggest concern still has to be the WOT. Imagine the very worst outcome possible and thats probably better than what we will have if a Dem wins the White House. Our military folks have had an uncertain enough time just with Pelosi and Reid in charge, now imagine these two losers with a Dem president.
Yes, the military does take a hit every time a democrat gets the White House. That is definately a concern. Tell me, whats your take on this 'conservative' destroying 75% of our nuclear arsenal? What's your take on him dismantling our Naval fleet?
Im sorry, man, conservative principals (and I was a conservative before they even had a name!) are a wonderful thing, but I refuse to worry, every day, about some American city/cities falling victim to an Islamofacists nuke. The federal governments primary responsibility, as far as Im concerned, is to protect me, my family, my community, etc., and I dont see any dim lib Dems that are willing to do so. All but one of the Republican candidates seem to take this responsibility seriously, even the ones you term RINOs.
Well lets look at that. Do you think Giuliani, Romney or Huckabee are going to close the border to illegals and stop massive provisions of Visas to Saudi Arabia's Whabii Muslems? This president sure hansn't. Do you truly think this president has taken your community's protection seriously? I sure don't. It's despicable what he has allowed under his watch. Even if we weren't talking about terrorism, there are massive heavy duty instances of crime that are associated with illegal immigrants. People are dying, being raped, being molested, being burlarized, being stolen from... and that ignores the tens if not hundreds of billions of dollars worth of government funds these folks siphen off each year. Are the RINOs going to stop ANY of this? In a word, no.
Dont take this to mean Im giving up! Ill be in there pitching, doing the same things Ive done for over 50 years during campaignsworking phone banks, going door to door, on and on, ad infinitum........but IF my guy loses, Ill vote for the Republican candidate because hes still better than a Democrat. Politics is usually a matter of comparatives, and not of absolutes. I havent met my perfect conservative candidate yet, but Im still looking!
You're going to have to do what you think is best. I won't fault you for it. I simply cannot be a party to moving this nation further to the left. One case in point, is our education system. It is so far out of whack that it verges on the criminal what is taking place on our K-12 campuses, and our universities might just as well be driven by a communist dictatorship. Just how much futher do we have to go toward the left, before enough is enough?
In truth, I'm not looking for perfection either. I want you to think of the top ten items that are important to you and ask yourself if we are anywhere near the center on them. I think you'll find that we are far left of center on most if not all of them. It's way beyond time to start moving back toward the center. We needn't be bashful about it. Conservatism is a good product. We can sell it. Our leaders should at least be attempting to do so.

On this forum, you’re right. In the republican ranks, it appears to me that Giuliani, Romney and Huckabee are very much alive.
It’s really quite amazing to watch Hunter languish like he has considering that the nation is up in arms concerning illegal immigration. Hamlets across this nation are starting to implement their own laws in the absense of conservative leadership from the top.
Still, Hunter doesn’t get support. Strange...

Look at this. The guy didnt have a clue more often than not.
You're too charitable. I think he has had malicious intent on some things (border enforcement, Ramos/Compean for starters).
Overall, I certainly agree. I think you know that.
As for Ramos and Compean, I see it a little different than you do. While I do want to see their sentences commuted, it didn't help to find out they were less than forthcoming regarding their actions. I'm not sure what the rules governing the use of lethal force on the border are, but shooting a guy moving away from you is probably not permitted. The use of lethal force is generally reserved for a life threatening situation. If you or your partner's life is in danger, you can shoot to kill. And shooting to kill is the only reason for discharging your weapon.
That being said, Bush has contributed to an absoloutely intollerable situation on the border. The border patrol is understaffed, undercut and taking it in the shorts so Jorge can curry favor with the citizens of a foreign nation. That is so wrong on so many levels it just pisses me off.
Romas and Compean should at least have their sentences commuted.
And yes, I was too charitable. I try to show some respect for the guy, but I am not convinced he deserves it.

Let's see. I'm supposed to vote strategically rather than based on my principles.
It looks like we're heading into one hell of a recession. Whichever candidate is elected in the next cycle will most likely get blamed for it.
I should vote for the Democrat to ensure that a Democrat is in office when the recession happens so that the sheeple will once again be led to believe that the Republicans are the party of good government and a great economy.
Thanks for helping me make my decision.
To: cschroe
I think you’ve made a good rational arguement for supporting the nominee no mater who they are. I’m just not as convinced as you are, that we’re getting the bang for the buck you think we are.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t follow each and every federal judge appointment. Are we getting the caliber of people in there that we truly wish for?
Right now we have a Supreme Court with seven of nine judges appointed by whom? Yep, republicans. We have seven of nine and we’re still fighting to break even or go over the top. Does that tell you anything?
Some things are done out in the open for all to see. Some things happen in the background and we’re not privy to what the overall outcome is. And I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that we have had more than a few disgusting federal judge appointments over what will be Bush’s eight year term.
Now, can I say that definitively. Absolutely not. I’m going with my gutt on this one and acknowledge I may be off base. I’m fairly confident I’m not that far off target though.

The candidates aren’t as much as the problem as are your friends, colleagues, etc. who don’t vote their values. A vote for Democrats is a vote for illegal immigration, the NEA, NAACP, LULAC, ACLU. Provides political cover for the anti-Christian haters, the radical “teachers” and their unions, homosexuals, abusers, pornographers, criminals, the welfare staters, secularists, Islamofascists/terrorists, and Political “Correctness”
They are the ones who need your help, not the wacko third parties that will serve only to more of the problem in power.
To: JMack
Ronald Reagan couldn’t gain traction until the dismal peformance of one president. Care to mention his name?
If it hadn’t been for taking out the trash from Plains Georgia, I’m not sure we would have had the Ronald Reagan Presidency.
It clearly defined what was wrong with this nation. Other die-hard politicos couldn’t sway the American public once the issues were clearly defined. Ronald Reagan was able to clearly define them against the back drop of one rat bastard president.
Do we continue on with Bush Is, or do we bite the bullet and tell the party the gig is up?

I find it amazing when reading thru this thread, how many people do not mention anything about doing what is best for their country.
Lots of 'me-me-me-me', though....
