How is that different from Huckabee?

Some folks don’t care, even about that. They want to live under that Chavez-like regime, so that everyone will see how bad the Dems are and magically return to conservatism. Uh huh, yeah, riiiiight. I guess we’ll either wave our magic wands or take up our hidden guns against the powers that be and become hunted criminals. Nice choice.

I am extremely disappointed in how this primary season is going but I fear any Democrat more than I fear any Republican so I am willing to vote for the lesser of two evils.

Maybe the problem is that there is people are giving in to too much fear.

We fear the dems.
We fear the rinos.
We fear the illegals.
We fear the terrorists.
We fear the chinese.
We fear the russians.
We fear the iranians.

Enough with the fear. Our country is strong enough to survive dems, rinos, illegals, terrorists, the chinese, the russians, the iranians, and whatever else the world wants to throw at us.

Stop voting in fear. Vote your conscience confidently and let the chips fall where they may.

A nonvote for a Repub = a yes vote for a Dem. As always, an election is choosing the lesser of two evils. Yes, the Rs are getting us to Socialism/Communism the same way the Ds are, but at least it will be at a slower rate!

About Hillary “ignoring” us if we work to stop something, I actually think she will find a way to punish us. And it will not be pretty. Look out for a full attack to get Rush, Hannity, etc off the air and a whole host of other domestic atrocities. Abuse of IRS, Law Enforcement, etc. A Justice Dept. where no justice can be found but to be used against whomever gets in Hillary’s way.

Exactly. Remember, the Klintons and the democrats created a "War Room"; not to fight terrorists but to viciously go after Republicans.

A lot of people work sometimes two or three jobs because they fear becoming destitute.

They put in security systems for their house or take up arms to protect themselves and their families.

They learn how to swim for fear of possible drowning in an unforeseen situation, even if recreational swimming isn’t on their “to do” list.

I could go on and on and on.

If people are partially motivated by a rational fear, to vote against a Leftist takeover of every branch of American gov’t, God bless ‘em. There’s nothing wrong in that and I won’t spend one second criticizing them or apologizing for that healthy, rational act.

One of the reasons so many people are blindly voting for Leftist Dems, including Hillary and B. Hussein, is that they have no rational fear of doing so. Everything is media driven and a pie-in-the-sky dreamworld to them. Instead of fearing Evita Peron Clinton, they feel empathy for her emotional display and rush out to vote for her. Ditto for whatever turns them on about B. Hussein.

Shoot, these days people give over their own lives right into the jaws of Satan himself, and laugh all the way. Then, they wonder at the hell their lives become.

Same, same, same for how they are treating America.

McCain & Huckabee would lead us to 20+ years in the wilderness.

You mean ANOTHER 20 years in the wilderness, the last time we were not in the wilderness was 1988.

Frankly I don't think the US will ever find it's way out of the wilderness again. The Democrats are traitors, the country club libs have taken over the GOP again with an even stronger grip than ever before, and even a majority of FReepers seem to like it like this. If this isn't wilderness country it's a doggone good imitation.

The problem is that there's nowhere left for conservatives to turn to now. Now when a real conservative such as Hunter announces his candidacy the rank and file, the self-proclaimed "fair and balanced" media outlets, and the party big shots try to shut him up and hide him in the attic like the family's nutty old spinster aunt when guests come to visit. I don't think I could ever get used to living in this wilderness, but at my age it won't be too long before I'm outta here anyway so I don't even intend to try.

A nonvote for a Repub = a yes vote for a Dem.

Bullcrap. A non-vote for a Republican is a non-vote. If it were a "yes" for a dem, there would be another mark added to the dem column. There is not.

As always, an election is choosing the lesser of two evils.

And as always you will find Conservatives walking away from you in droves. The lesser evil is evil all the same, and will not be supported.

Yes, the Rs are getting us to Socialism/Communism the same way the Ds are, but at least it will be at a slower rate!

If the champion of Conservatism has embraced Socialism, then we need a new champion. You may keep your damnable betrayers. Don't count on me.

We’ve probably got two Supreme Court nominations coming up this next go around and it will more likely than not be a better outcome with a Republican in there than a Dem.

I’m with you, Mom!

Count me in. Like it or not, the Supremes hold more sway over our lives than the pols in DC. With one fell swoop they can strip away any legislation/law/etc. Up until recently I was bent on voting third party just to send a message—that is until I have come to realize that Barack Hussein Obama could very well be the Dem nominee. If that scenario comes to pass, there is no way in hades i will vote third party and all but guarantee a Muslim in the White House. No way. The next President WILL have Supreme Court vacancies to fill. With a Dem in the office that is a guarantee of a leftist/socialist judge. With a Republican, we have a fighting chance. Remember—our presidents, senators, congressman come and go, but the supremes are there for life. Do you really want a Muslim making those decisions?

If you vote for Hillary or Obama which this is what you are doing you are spitting in the face of the troops.

Sorry but that rhetoric is not going to work. I'm a vet and I took an oath a long time ago to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. I don't consider that oath non-binding just because I'm not on active duty any longer.

Voting for an R version of a D is not, IMHO, fulfilling my oath.

I won't be staying home on election day, but I also won't be automatically pulling the lever for the R.

If you think the Warren Court was bad just think of a court stacked with Hillary or Obama justices.

Scary! Of course Warren -- along with Souter, Stevens, and the recently-retired O'Connor were all Republican appointments.

In the present field there are only 2 candidates I could possibly vote for. If neither is the nominee (and their chances don't look good at the moment) I'll stay home on election day for the first time since 1952. Our political and governing process has degraded to the point I no longer have any faith in it. Welcome to our Brave New World.

Never.

After I throw my garbage out, the first thing I do when I walk back into the house is scrub my hands.

Garbage is still garbage.

I will vote for Conservative Republicans for other offices. I will write in my choice for President if this putrid liberal faction succeeds in fracturing the GOP.

Same here. I can't and won't vote for any candidate to the left of Thompson, and it doesn't appear that even he is "moderate" enough to suit the majority of today's Repub voters or even a lot of FReepers.

Maybe if the RINO nominee loses this time by a large enough margin the so-called "moderates" who now dominate the GOP will wake up and smell the coffee. Maybe, maybe not, but either way Democrat Lite just isn't good enough to get my vote anymore.

“Do you in all honesty think a Republican will appoint 3 Gloria Steinem types to the Supreme Court which will affect this country for the NEXT 30 YEARS!”

Yes.

The RINOS will pick their leftist friends.
