I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!

geeze low tech ballots!!!
MIL jokes would only work if someone would be married to Chelsey. No one has signed up for that job yet!
“I’m voting...against the Dems.”
I’ll drag my posterior to the polls as well and vote for actual conservatives regardless of their political faction. Assuming any are to be found. And there are usually some ballot measures worth voting on, even if the rest of the ballot is a disaster.
Well, the voters don’t understand conservative and liberal policies, or they are more liberal than most think they are. I think Huckabee did this well in IA because he appealed “psychologically” to people who feel “left out” in the political process. They don’t understand Huckabee’s non-conservative positions, but they see him as a “fellow Christian” who “understands” and is “willing to listen”. This psychic appeal can catch on. Romney is no realistic alternative in my view.
Got to love it when almost 70% of democrats vote AGAINST Hillary!
Nope, I expect him to get in the 15-20% range there. But friendlier states lie ahead...South Carolina should be exciting, as should Florida...those are where Fred Thompson should do well as well.
Romney will likely drop out if he loses New Hampshire, since he has nothing good until February 5th.
All of this calling the election before the votes are all counted. Can’t they just WAIT??? WHY in the world do they insist on trying to ‘call’ every race before it’s all over??? I don’t suppose I will ever understand that... That’s what caused all the problems in Florida, but yet they still insist on it... UGH...
RESULTS:
Obama 33.93; Edwards 31.83; Clinton 31.56
Huckabee 35; Romney 24; Thompson 14; McCain 12

Bill Bennett has gained at least 500 pounds! How does he get through the door to the TV studio?
I love it. Earier today, Dodd said people may be surprised tonight based on the numbers showing up at his events. Well they failed to attend the caucus as he hasn’t registered 1% yet.
LOVE your tagline!
Thompson 13%
McCain 12%
Mike Duncan, RNC Chairman, is on CNN.
He refuses to say much about the Huckabee win.
He should be taking the voter message to heart, however -— that the GOP isn’t going to get the WH unless they move right, rather than left, as they have been doing.
So- Did Duncan Hunter not even make an effort in Iowa? The one candidate with a solid conservative platform and record apparently has made no real effort in IOWA, and isn’t on the primary ballot in at least one state....
So why can he not get traction? Is it all about $$$ to get the message out?
Channel 8 interviewing Rep. party official -- says too early to be calling for the Huckster.
Both, I guess.

I knew HILLARY was not likeable and would not win.
Romney supporters hate Fred Thompson more than they like der Flipmeister, which means they hate conservatism. U.S. Army Retired |
