New Fear Leads Both Legal, Illegal Latinos To Leave Pr. William Co. (VA)

Supporters of the anti-illegal immigration measure adopted in Prince William County last week have argued that its most important purpose is to send a powerful signal to the county's mostly Latino illegal immigrants that they are no longer welcome.

It appears the message has already been received: Terrified that new policies will lead to mass deportations, illegal immigrants and the many legal immigrant relatives and friends who live with them have been moving out of Prince William ever since July, when county supervisors first approved the plan's outline.

Prince William County has "totally turned its back on us," says Jose Ventura, a mason. So he's moving himself and his business to Maryland.

"I feel like when this county was growing, when they needed us, they welcomed us Latinos with open arms," he said. "But now that the county is all grown up and times are hard, it's totally turned its back on us. They are so ungrateful."

The reporting of the recent crackdown on illegal aliens in Price William County shows how biased the ComPost is. The other papers, such as the Wash Times and Examiner has been following this issue closely for months, whereas the ComPost just comes out with a press release from La Raza.

Meanwhile, his plan to buy a new house and offset some of the mortgage by renting some of the rooms backfired after county residents called for a crackdown on overcrowding. A few days ago, the bank foreclosed on the property, wiping out all $80,000 of his savings and leaving him $20,000 in debt.

I was thinking but did not post that Jose came here illegally but got his immigration status "legalized". You have proved this with his bullshit "temporary protected status". 
Jose is a big deal, a big padron and jefe. His game plan was to provide food and lodging to illegal aliens from El Salvador who are on his masonry work crew. Just about all transactions done in cash with few employment taxes paid

I said he was Mexican but that was dumb of me. Central Americans were the first to flood the DC area. The Mexicans are not so numerous

The WP has been hammering this issue for months just like they did the “macaca” gaff by Allen. They are trying to spin it that the Reps are bigots and nativists. Fortunately, their distorted reporting is actually backfiring as far as the local residents are concerned. They believe their “lyin’ eyes” and not the WP spin. This is the defining issue in this year’s VA state and local elections. I hope and pray we send the rest of the country and the political elites a message in two weeks. A lot is at stake.

You would be surprised. People are concerned about their schools, hospitals, crime, and real estate values. Even the Dem officials are now backtracking on their approach. They understand that they can't spin their way out of a growing problem. Prince William, Loudon County, Herndon, and Manassas are just the tip of the iceberg. Illegal immigration is the elephant in the room and growing larger every day. Stay tuned.
