Supporters of the anti-illegal immigration measure adopted in Prince William County last week have argued that its most important purpose is to send a powerful signal to the county's mostly Latino illegal immigrants that they are no longer welcome.
It appears the message has already been received: Terrified that new policies will lead to mass deportations, illegal immigrants and the many legal immigrant relatives and friends who live with them have been moving out of Prince William ever since July, when county supervisors first approved the plan's outline.

Not much more to say than that.
However, how many days before the ACLU and a bought-off judge somewhere steps in and thwarts the will of the people? It is a remarkable article. It says illegal aliens are literally fleeing this Virginia County that came down very hard on illegal aliens and their benefits, and that the illegals are scrambling to sanctuary counties in Virginia as well as Maryland. It is nothing short of amazing (in a way, but then again, we knew illegals would scramble when the legitimate outrage of the American People would finally land on them). Of course, the Washington Post tries to make the citizens of this county feel guilty for what the Board of Supervisors have done. But it is probably too late.
It is getting HOT folks.
New Fear Leads Both Legal, Illegal Latinos To Leave Pr. William Co. (VA)...
too bad here in the peoples’ republic of nj....the guv and all the lib/dems welcome them wtih open arms and large welfare checks funded by the hard working taxpayers....
since everyone in nj wants to move....maybe they should move to mexico...they are sure to get the same treatment!!!!
adios!
The many legal immigrant relatives and friends who live with them? I think we're seeing the left's next talking point being floated.
Can anyone say “blue print”?
I used to live.
There policies are obviously working. What the illegals will do now, however, is simply cross into the adjacent counties or states, as the article says they are doing.
We need a national, comprehensive enforcement policy.
But I am not hopeful.
“New Fear...”
Heh. There never was an “Old Fear”, that’s why they’re illegal and in such high numbers. They know that by and large, our elected officials don’t have the testicular fortitude to enforce the existing laws.
I guess they are referring to their "Si se puede!" hissy fits.
The problem is, most of those protesting were and are citizens of Mexico - not the US. Go march in protest in your own country.
What’s that guy carrying? Rubbing alcohol?
The poor dear.
I bet he has to take a middle seat too, instead of an aisle.
Or Tequila.
Hola Canada!
This is a very sad story! Imagine having to obey the law? Unthinkable!!! (sarc)
Well, apparently, “Mission Accomplished.” Until the ACLU steps in.
It is like "once you safely reach Tucson, Jorge, give Uncle Eduardo up in San Bernardino a call and he will come down to pick you up". There is no denying this. If they move all together back to where they came from, legal, naturalized citizen or not legal alike, if it is a joint "illegal harboring" racket, underground railway enterprise nationwide, why then that will be just fine with me.
Nothing like a positive step.
The left will have a FIT if it spreads. An absolute apoplectic FIT.
WTF?!?! He's FLYING back to El Salvador, talking on a cell phone while picking up presents for his five children? And complaining that he is having trouble finding work? WTF?!?!? What am I missing here?
