Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

“Oh well... I’ll just have to consider myself one of the “several others” and live with that. I feel so ashamed for not living up to my potential in Al’s eyes.”

It’s like the early version of the Gilligan’s Island song - all of us are just “and the rest”, and will have to work harder before we can be named just like “the professor and mary anne” were.

It's a damn shame irony is lost on liberals like you. Y'all sure generate more than your fair share of it.

Oh Al? Al is such a drama queen.

Do us a big favor and exit, stage left!

Is he gone yet?

So, leaving on your own is not an option?

I see. If you get BANNED then you can run to your ‘other’ friends and say ‘SEE! SEE! I TOLD YOU HE WOULD BAN ME FOR SUPPORTING RUDY!’

Of course, you would be lying. But at least you’d have some BRAGGING rights!

Pathetic.

Didn’t take you long to get to name calling, but I’m not surprised. Good night.

I was simply describing reality. I know how painful that can be for folks like you, but there it is.

Good night.

It's midday. No lights allowed where you are?

every bit helps.

My problem is that I don't think small. I once had the idea of founding one of those think tanks, the purpose of which would be to educate the public on the Founders and the things they said and wrote with regards to the appropriate place of govt. Unfortunately, since my college education is a bachelor's degree and I don't have enough money, I probably can't get that off the ground.

“OH, AND BTW - I HAVE SPOKEN MY PEACE AND I’M OUTTA HERE. IF THE POWERS THAT BE DECLINE TO REMOVE MY ACCOUNT AS I HAVE REQUESTED, WELL, THAT JUST SHOWS HOW MUCH THEY VALUE THEIR MEMBER’S OPINIONS.”

So, if they DO ban someone, that means they don’t value their opinion, but if they DON’T ban you, that means they don’t value your opinion.

Rudy derangement syndrome reaches a new high. Or low.

Christian who is a flaming liberal.

No such thing. They don't go hand in hand. It's like some liberals here who claim to be conservative.

And this was my best chance to be goonized and I missed it too...

Oh my. You can not measure a large scale attack merely by the loss of life from the actual act itself. What would the cost be if somehow the jihadists were able to destroy a city - or to disrupt our government in a significant way? What would be the cost of our nation’s power grid being debillitated? What would happen if our financial institutions were non-functional? The loss of life is the most tragic - but 911 cost us in addition to the loss of life. A larger scale attack - and we may not be so resilient.

Sorry, don’t see it that way. My concern about Rudy (or any Republican) taking my gun is about a 5 on a scale of 100. My concern about another terrorist attack is an 80.

I disagree. I think the chances of myself being a victim of a criminal is far greater than from a terrorist act. I will never vote for a gun grabber. Then I would be defenseless against both enemies.

haha! Reminds me of that old joke where the masochist says to the sadist "BEAT ME! BEAT ME!" The sadist replies "No..."
